Is that a lot?

That is pretty affordable, comparing to other stadium/ arena prices...

I want to say these prices are a dollar less than the prices at DF during regionals/supers but I'm probably just making that up.

It's nice that prices are being lowered, but then you realize you're still paying $3 for 20 ounces of tap water in a plastic bottle. $4 for a drink that costs $1.89 at the convenience store.

Cheaper than the minor league ballpark over the hill. More expensive than rest stops on the New Jersey Turnpike.

$5 for a liter of filtered tap water..

Everything else on there is relatively cheap compared to many venues, students not born with a silver spoon jammed up their ass should be pleased.

The beer. Has the beer cost changed?

It's as if CDC is looking around and asking "What would Steve Patterson do?" and then doing the opposite.  Way to be CDC

Well now we are talking!

I applaud that move. Concession pricing always get me worked up , except for charging more that $1 for a bottle of water which makes me very very angry.
Especially when you are in a venue where the temperature is >90°; they buy in bulk and it costs them a dime or less.

Rant over - good move, people will buy more if pricing isn't excessive

a liter of water from even a fairly cold fridge will stay at a drinkable temperature for 5 minutes until maybe some of the october games

no doubt its still expensive but it bucks the trend and takes a step in the right direction. The goal is to make it more affordable for students and fans and this is at least a step in the right direction.

I would pay $50 for hot dogs and drinks if I thought it would go towards burnt orange paint and slowly poisoning Bob Cole.

Another good move by Del Conte.

The antithesis of that snake Patterson who would make sure the price for a bottle of water was collected before the person suffering from heat stroke could get it.

Credit to CDC but also the Atlanta Falcons whom started this “trend” if you can call it that when they opened their new stadium.

I remember they used to have a Taco Bell on the east side behind the student section. We used to buy those $1.49 bean burritos and tacos

I think people realize they are paying inflated prices when they go to these events or amusements parks or wherever. But at least they are actually taking a step in the right direction and going to other way on their prices. Not increasing them. The Falcons did the same thing.

Overhead at the stadium and convenience store are very similar, so I see your arguement.

I didn’t realize you had to buy a ticket to get into the convenience store.

Also, it’s spelled argument.

This was a terrible post for multiple reasons, but ERhine already touched on two of them. Good work.

The key here is that they did away with the $ __.25, $__.50 prices. Makes every transaction smoother and faster.

I’ve advocated this for years...round up for all I care, just make it simple!

I’m not sure why this is a good thing unless they are adding additional concession stands to accommodate the even longer lines that will form as a result. I’d rather pay $2 more to shave off 20 minutes of waiting while a game I paid $75 for against a shitty opponent was being played.

Then stop being a cheap fuck and sit in a box.

Supposedly they are going to announce that beer is a nickel a can when Texas scores more than 20 points. None of the stadium vendors are concerned.

Will you add Christopher Plonsky to that promise?

Also, your corner store does not have a no reentry policy...well for most of us anyway.

Prices are better than they were but still too high. Look at the prices at Falcons games. Dang that would be nice.

Those prices seem fair for a major college stadium.

Steve Patterson is confused by this

Tell him it's a blended price decrease.

Good move.  Would have been nice to drop water prices even lower ($0.50 or $1) for those games where it's over 85 degrees.  I know that would cut in to soft drink sales some, but fuck those 11A and 2P kickoffs the 1st half of the year.

If you make all concession prices $1, $2, $3, etc., the lines will move faster.

Yes it was a terrible post, why you would compare a convenience store to an arena is amazing. You should instead compare to other similar venues.
