Sure. We almost blocked it for a TD and I think they felt like they could get there if given another chance.

I guess. We are trying way too hard on the entire punt return operation right now. Bolden seems to be forcing returns trying to make stuff happen.

That’s what I thought we were trying but on the 2nd punt it didn’t look like we had the block on.

One decision I didn’t understand last night was on the punt in the first half where ULM was called for illegal formation but the punt was a terrible one and set us up with great field position. We accepted the penalty and made them rekick and it ended up costing us about 20 yards.

That penalty can be declined right? Not sure if the 5 yards could just be tacked on to the end of the kick but surely we could just take the result of the play, which is what we should have done.

Yes, you decline the penalty in a tough game. When the game is a glorified scrimmage, you want to work on the return game and see if Bolden can pop one. I’d guess that was the thinking.

Running the offense from the 42 isn’t “brakes,” though.

If I remember right, there was a block in the back on the return of the initial punt (the one where it looked like we got a piece of it, right?). So, instead of us having a chance to decline the penalty, it became two offsetting penalties, hence the re-kick.

That one was in the second half.

The one I was referencing was the first half when we fair caught the punt at like the 45, made them rekick then Bolden did the crazy return where he ran 40 yards to gain about 10 yards with a block in the back at the end to push us back to the 25.

Overloaded left side a little bit. Was not full on block attempt.

SIAP, but some talk on 247 is might have been some players scuffling on the sidelines last night late in the game.  Mitchell's name was mentioned.

Allegedly, Mitchell fought a teammate. If true, I’ll drive to Austin to help pack his stuff up. Really disappointing. Texas waits out a possible medical issue with the kid and this is how he might have repaid them.

Is Gardner hurt? Page had 10 carries Reid Watkins of all people had 4.

Just wanted to stop by an reiterate that Lefau is going to fuck people's faces next year with Hill. That dude plays high energy and wants to murder. Love that kid. When he goes beast mode, ain't no stopping the train.

Britt Mitchell?

Brady just made a comment on the Cowboys' defense trying to stop the Ravens: "There's no target (for the defense) to hit. They're just doing everything well".

Perfectly sums up my thoughts after watching this Texas offense so far this year.

I'd want to know more about how the fight happened first.

I don’t know if it’s because he came so far to play at Texas or because he just seemed super pumped about it or some combination, but I am especially glad to see him to get a chance to show his game.

He seemed to me to rather slightly built to play LB but he looks great.  Seems to have good instincts and is always around the ball.

I think another off-season when he adds more muscle and fills out his frame he's going to just dominate next to Hill. He seems to be in on every play when he's out there.

I hope that's the last game on SEC Network+. There were way too many "S-E-C" chant videos for commercials. Don't make me yearn for a Longhorn Legend spot.

This morning Burton said he refused to go in the game late and his teammates were very insistent that he get his ass in the game. He didn't expound any more on it after that, just said Sark knows how to handle these things, and with the culture in the room, it'll be handled the best way possible.

I'm thinking this might end up a Kris Ross situation pretty quickly If Mitchell doesn't convince them he's going to get his shit together right now.

Fat, lazy, and intransigent is no way to go through life.

Was at the game. The D (and the crowd) kinda went through the motions for most of the 2nd half. But this series was fun to watch. The crowd decided to get into it. The D basically flipped a switch and said to themselves, we are getting a motherfucking safety. And they did. Quite impressive that this is how fucking good this team is.

Arch looks like Quinn did in his first start. Flashes of greatness coupled with not feeling comfortable enough to trust his reads and throws. For a stretch in the 2nd half, I think Sark called some plays which required Arch to make some reads and get the ball out quickly. Receivers were open that if it were Quinn, he makes the throw. Arch held the ball and didn't make the throw. After a few of those series, Sark went back to quick throws to the flat and RPOs which Arch easily made. Teachable and coaching moments. It's beautiful to watch knowing that the mistakes will be addressed in film. I fucking love our coaching staff. This is how you build a fucking dynasty.

Dynasties unfortunately can be poached (ask the wizard Nick) but also Dynasties attract great football talent and coaches.  So it’s a wash.

Was the block in the back on the Ant Hill pick 6 then one at the 2 yard line? That call made no sense.

Also I feel like Bolden's reviewed no catch was actually a catch.

It was a sloppy, one-sided game from the zebras. Only thing that slackened my wang the whole night.

It wasn't a catch, but I don't think it should have been over turned.

I  watching the game replay, recorded from SECN, and being reminded just how fucking awful Lowell is to listen to.

The 2nd TD of the  game, where Arch hits Blue on the rollout and Lowell's call was "... and the Ballad of Archie Who? is ready for a remix."

At least I think that's what he said.

What the fuck? Who says shit like this calling a fucking football game?

Dumbass.
