September 23, 20241 yr For the love of gawd, please no time travel and alternate realities bullshit. Just give me a straight up good-ish guys versus bad guys, lots of explosions, some humor, and a half decent plot. Not too much to ask. Make me not regret seeing a Marvel product not named Deadpool.
September 23, 20241 yr Hate the Taskmaster name, but suit looks better. Good to know Buck's arm is dishwasher safe.
November 10, 20241 yr Right. I’m a huge Pugh fan and like like Bucky and black widows family in general. im in
November 10, 20241 yr Yeah black widow was a good movie, and Bucky is always great too. This looks awesome

Maybe it's a middle-aged get-off-my-lawn opinion, but the multiverse plots got too tiring. And maybe because I'm not as much of a sci-fi geek as other Marvel fans. I'm all on board with this and Brave New World.
November 13, 20241 yr I absolutely HATE what they did with Taskmaster. Gender swap aside, Tony Masters had an awesome back story! Some red room assholes daughter is a fucking travishamockery!!

Some red room assholes daughter is a fucking travishamockery!! You can thank DC and Joe Mangianello(?)'s Deathstroke for changing the character and gender up. After Deathstroke, they probably weren't going to take a chance on being compared to DC over that. Same thing happened with Prince Namor/Sub-Mariner - after Mamoa's Aquaman took off, they shifted continents/races so nobody would compare them.
November 13, 20241 yr Yeah the movie studios are a lot more careful about ripping each other off compared to the comic publishers back in the day.

Feige's response was something about Namor/Sub-Mariner was introduced first in the comics and Aquaman was introduced later in the 1940s, and they had always planned to introduce Namor in the MCU and it had nothing to do with Momoa's success as Aquaman. Personally, I do think they planned on bringing Namor in (or at least I'm happy they did) because at least in the 70s/80s comics I had, Black Panther and Namor were always butting heads/playing off one another and the kid in me wanted to see that in the MCU. And at the time they were planning a lot of this out, Feige had no real access to Spidey and his villains and X-Men/Fantastic Four and their villains. Now they have the same problem with the Thunderbolts and Suicide Squad, especially with Amanda Waller and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine giving off vibes of being the same characters at times, and John Walker/US Agent and Peacemaker, etc. Yeah, it's a little too on the nose at times, so they have to change it up. At least now they have control over X-Men/F4 and their villains going forward.

November 21, 20241 yr I’m sure it’s just me but Bucky Barnes is the most boring character ever. When he showed up in Black Panther I literally had no recollection of who he was. I’m in on this for Yelena alone.

I could see that if that is the case. Have you watched Falcon and Winter Soldier yet? I like the growth he gets there from being winter soldier. I think he plays the sarcastic friend that does really care role well, and I thought the “if he was wrong about you that means he might have been wrong about me” line.
May 2May 2 I had no expectations, but this wound up being really good. The storyline was definitely way different than normal for Marvel, but making the movie about mental issues was a nice diversion from the usual superhero movies. Everyone in the theatre had a great time which was also cool. I would say to see it in 4DX for the full experience. I’d love to see more movies with this group staying together.
May 4May 4 Is Winter Soldier still nerfed as hell? It was heart breaking seeing him struggle against a freckled little girl in that Disney show, smh..
May 4May 4 The end credit scene was filmed by the Russo Brothers. I really enjoyed this. It was a nice change from the usual MCU fare that’s grown stale.
May 8May 8 Went yesterday and really enjoyed it. I would put it 2nd behind GotG3 since Endgame. It’ll be interesting to see how they work into the MCU going forward.

Way more emotional than I thought it would be and I'll probably see it again. I love these thrown together teams, very much like GoTG is my singular favorite non avengers MCU movie because the cast was that good along with the story/comedy/serious mix. Same here. Longest end credit scene in MCU history and so much info Spoiler I alreayd assumed/knew that the FF cast would come from their universe to this one...but the stuff with same Wilson(who's friends with Bucky) taking the Avengers name and this team being cast aside was very interesting and can't wait to see it explored. 3 hours ago, smuggs said: Way, way better than Brave New World.
