Glad we signed DFS and didn’t do a sign and trade with the Lakers by giving up Cam. Please Rafael and Ime, don’t trade Cam.

Please, Cam, learn how to play team ball... Especially defense.

Sooooo, I’m in the Amsterdam Airport and ran into this tall dude sporting Rockets gear.  I introduced myself and he said his name was Clint.  Man, he was as nice and gracious as he could be.  I told h

He has no rotation spot anymore. He's not a guard and the wings are now Durant, Smith, Thompson, Eason, and Finney-Smith.

Strong to quite strong

Houston Rockets Projected Starting 5👇🏼

Amen Thompson
Kevin Durant
Jabari Smith Jr
Alpren Sengun

Bench: DFS, Tari Eason, Whitmore, Sheppard, Adams, Tate

that denver/brooklyn trade is going to make the western conference even tougher next year, but could improve the odds that brooklyn's 2027 pick is a good one.

the Houston Rockets are OFFICIALLY re-signing veterans Jeff Green and Aaron Holiday to one-year deals at the veteran’s minimum, per @KellyIko UNCLE JEFF IS BACK 🚀

whoa!  welcome home Clint!

Free agent center Clint Capela has agreed to a three-year, $21.5 million deal with the Houston Rockets, sources tell ESPN. Major frontcourt addition – and return to Houston for Capela.

The Rockets don't have enough remaining in their mid-level to sign Clint Capela to three years, $21.5 million. It looks like a sign and trade is coming, either with this deal or for Dorian Finney-Smith.

Do not send Cam to the Lakers, Atlanta would be a good place to send him

Good back up center to have in Capella. I don’t expect much from him. Team is looking fucking solid now.

I think Adams is a good back up center.

We have a legit lob threat now that can finish emphatically with a dunk and another rim protector. Major upgrade over Jock Landale.

Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson throwing lobs that get hammered home by Clint Capela. We are so back.

The Capela signing shows me they did some self scouting and figured out they have to hide Alpi on defense. He tries hard and is improving, but he’s still slightly below league average. Thank goodness he’s getting better. I thought he has Sabonis Part II.

Finney-Smith is slightly concerning if they’re bringing him in to solve their bench 3 point woes. He shot well above his career average last year, and he’s another below average FT shooter.

I don’t think they have enough money to sign another shooter.

I’d be careful about dealing Cam. They’re going to need somebody to play SG.

#2977

Capela was always one of my favorite "effort" guys when he played for the Rockets back in the 201X's but I haven't kept up with his career since he left. He's older now, but if he can give us a solid 10-15 minutes per game that would be huge

#2978

It’s not like Adams can (or at least should) play the same minutes over 82 games that he played in the playoffs. We need another rotation guy to keep him greasy in April/May who’s better than Landale.

EDIT - somehow autocorrect turned ‘fresh’ into ‘greasy’, but I’m grooving on the latter…

Yes capela is a 100% a replacement for Landale. They prefer another defensive big that can get offensive rebounds and play pick and roll with Durant.

he was probably my second favorite guy from that era behind Harden.  him or PJ.  i'm not expecting him to be what he was back then but i'm pumped to have him back.  always hated that he was collateral damage due to the westbrock trade.

I think the Hawks overpaid for Alexander-Walker at 4 years $62 million. Glad we stayed out of that one.

That said, they made a good deal for Kennard at 1 year $10 million. Reed better drill 3’s like crazy next season.

You have to see what you have in Reed. Some draft pundits had him as the best player in the draft last year

The Rockets keeping Cam Whitmore in addition to their reported signings of Dorian Finney-Smith and Clint Capela is still a possibility, per source.

Please, please let this be true. Want Cam to be on this team in the worst way.

Would have been awesome if Harden acted like he got punched in the face and flopped to the floor

Clutchfans thinks Capela signing = Alpi for Giannis trade

I mean the Bucks aren’t going to do better than Alpi and the Suns+Nets+Mavs picks.

The Spurs will refuse to include Lavell in the deal.

I hate to lose Sengun, but Durant and Giannis would completely wreck shop. My biggest doubt is Giannis actually wanting to leave Milwaukee.

This. Giannis doesn’t want to leave. The Bucks gave him a shot, remained loyal to him, and gave him literally everything he’s wanted short of putting all of his brothers on the roster.

I think Giannis also understands the Bucks are screwed next season, but they’ll have some options in 2026 when Dame’s contract is expiring.

#2996

If the Rockets traded for Giannis, I would be fucking pissed. As in my 40 year fandom would take a big hit.

We have made the necessary moves to compete for a title. I like our roster a lot. I'm gonna assume front office has no desire to trade for him until further notice.

I'd be pissed too

If we add Giannis... once KD is gone, then we are just going to end up the current Bucks 2.0

Don't leverage the future for Giannis.

The Rockets will continue to work on finding Cam Whitmore a new home via trade, per @KellyIko After initial reports that Houston could keep Whitmore, it seems more and more likely he’s on his way out

Noooo!!! I’m terrified that trading Cam will be the Yordan trade in reverse for us.
