It was a solid 7/8 seconds and should have been a turnover ending the game. The refs helped GS a lot that game, but the Rockets somehow made it through. Their defense is fun to watch and their offense has its moments. If this team ever figures out how to shoot consistently, they will be a contender. Just need to figure out how to flip Green for a 3+D guy with some length and they will be in great shape. Or stand pat and hope someone on the roster can become that guy.Â

December 12, 20241 yr How do these games effect the Rockets schedule? Is it adjusted to remain at 82 or are they gonna end up playing 82+?

League schedules 80 games. Teams who make the knockout stage play 2 games decided by tournament matchups. The eliminated teams play 2 more games as decided by the league.  How does the Emirates NBA Cup affect the regular season? Every team will still play an 82-game regular season. All Emirates NBA Cup games will count toward the regular-season standings except the Championship, which will sit outside the regular season.   Edited December 12, 20241 yr by Js1
December 15, 20241 yr not expecting a win tonight, but cool to have a game on the national stage again.
December 15, 20241 yr Haven’t paid attention in a while saw Steve Kerr bitching about the refs and crying shut the fuck up  Also, picking up Steven Adams is legit. Dude is a great player.Â
December 15, 20241 yr Yikes Set a screen it’s a foul go up and get hacked it’s nothing… I guess OKC is destined to advance damn the NBA is dogshitÂ
December 15, 20241 yr Brooks looks like he’s wearing ankle weights  Jabari going to have to carry the O
December 15, 20241 yr Did Jalen Green get injured while I was taking a shit, or did he just disappear for Tari and Amen? Â Edited December 15, 20241 yr by Slacks
December 15, 20241 yr 5 point game with 7 minutes left, and both teams are shooting poorly. Can't be too upset with that, OKC plays really good defense too, and both offenses are sputtering tonight. Seems like a lot of missed free throws for the Rockets though. Hope they can pull it off just for the fun of it, but no shame in losing to the Thunder here. They are really really good.Â
December 15, 20241 yr Problem is the majority of Rockets lack of offense had nothing to do with the Thunders D. We missed a fuck ton of open threes and had some lazy ass ball security in the first half with horrible passing decisions.
December 15, 20241 yr Author FVV was a fucking terrorist tonight. Worst player on the court Get this asshole off my team. Â Edited December 15, 20241 yr by Macklemore
December 15, 20241 yr It's nice to have a team not suck but there's a huge gap between us and OKC when it matters. Gonna need a move to take us over the top.

Typically, when FVV isn't there, the team is much worse. Tonight was just a bad night for everyone. Sengun made some uncharacteristically bad decisions when the triple teams came. Amen Thompson needs to spend the rest of the season working on shooting with an arc. His shot is so flat, the ball can't see anything but rim. No need to wait until off-season, because just *some* arc would unlock him as a demon. And SGA is really fn good. Edited December 15, 20241 yr by Slacks
December 15, 20241 yr Alpi had an awful first 8 mins and it snowballed from there until the last 4 mins of the game. They allowed all physical play and he just couldn’t convert.  Frustrating to watch SGA drive and find high percentage shots for himself when they struggled shooting from the outside. Drawing fouls etc. It feels like Green has the ability to do it but he just doesn’t.Â
December 15, 20241 yr Reed shepherd is looking to be a massive bust. At this point his best hope is to develop into a good come off the bench guy.Â
