March 6Mar 6 45 minutes ago, Parliament said: I think the above was fake. And the below is real: the description on the video says "inspiration behind the video" and it reads exactly like a prompt for a video generation LLM Quote Ana de Armas' Ballerina can't become a replacement for Keanu Reeves' John Wick until it finds its own version of an iconic part of the original movies. Since the ending of John Wick: Chapter 4 saw John die, and Reeves has shared disappointing updates about John Wick 5, it seems the franchise needs someone else to take the bullets and blows in the future. While there are several upcoming John Wick spinoffs in the works, the franchise has yet to find a true replacement for Keanu Reeves' iconic assassin. The next John Wick movie could solve that issue, if it meets one key condition. The next John Wick film, the upcoming movie Ballerina, could put Ana de Armas in the franchise's driver's seat in Keanu Reeves' stead. Ana de Armas already has more than enough star power in her own right from films like Knives Out and Blade Runner 2049, and she could prove to be just as big of a star as Reeves is. While Donnie Yen's Caine spinoff also has some major star power attached to it, de Armas' Ballerina could have an edge just by virtue of timing. Additionally, if it can recreate one major factor, Ballerina could succeed in replacing Keanu Reeves. Either way, not a real trailer
March 20Mar 20 Ok, an actual trailer was posted now. It's on the official Lionsgate Movies YT channel so I'm pretty sure it's not AI slop
March 20Mar 20 Author I’m gonna watch it, but what does this new movie bring that we haven’t already seen?
March 20Mar 20 Just now, Parliament said: I’m gonna watch it, but what does this new movie bring that we haven’t already seen? uhhhhh..... A flamethrower? Probably more worldbuilding about "the table", the description said it takes place during John Wick 3: Parabellum. It's really cool that we get a posthumous performance from Lance Reddick since they shot his scenes before he passed

Like, EVERYONE in Central Park is apparently an assassin and gets the excommunicado notification at the end of the first movie
March 20Mar 20 How did they make her so believable. She's so freaking tiny but she pulls it off(as she did in the last Bond film). And I"m actually down for her vs John Wick. Interesting to see how it plays out.
May 13May 13 Author I was signed up for JW updates for Chapter 4, and that got me on the list for this movie. Got an offer to see it a day early. Ticket bought for June 4. #itshappening

I always like movies that are set in the snow. They always find fun new ways to kill people. Can’t wait for the next installment in the John Wick universe.
June 8Jun 8 Read an article when the fourth Wick came out about how there is a trend in movies that aren't really based upon source material that with sequels they emphasize the parts of the movie come to watch and strip out the other fluff With the Wick movies the result is a movie that plays out as if you are watching a video game where the protagonist has to fight through an impossible set of challenges and a seeming less never ending stream of attackers to complete the game. The camera angles even play into this as you get the overhead shots of John going from room to room. Went and saw this yesterday and we greatly enjoyed it. This is basically your favorite first person shooter game rebranded with a new protagonist. Same level of fight scenes, same comedic moments, and same never ending body count. Our son read somewhere that the original screenplay had a body count of 1,400+ which would be hard to imagine short of a massive explosion, but very much the same feel as when John was fighting up the stairs in Paris, The overhead shoots of the conclusion of the flame thrower duel were very cool and agree they are set to keep the Wick franchise going for at least one more story without John.
June 8Jun 8 Author The flame thrower scene might be the best scene in the universe yet. I’m pretty sure flame throwers are as precise as depicted but so what.

My wife asked how was it possible to get that much flame out of those sized containers. Our son asked her if that was the only part of the village scene that struck her as somewhat of a stretch. Also, metal kitchen tables apparently are even better than ballistic formal wear if you need an impromptu shield.
June 9Jun 9 16 hours ago, Michael Knight said: This one was weak in story and acting even by John Wick standards Len Wiseman is a hack Very true, but it just seemed part of the storyline deterioration we saw after the first episode and concluded in 4 which is best enjoyed not trying to figure out things such as why was the leader of the high table without any body guards other than 3 guys on horse back who didn't even shoot back at John.

Well these aren’t Nolan films here. Let’s appreciate them for what they are.

June 13Jun 13 Loved it. Took the boy and we ate pizza and had a beer at Flix. Did anyone else notice Daniel Bernhardt dying for the 3rd time in the franchise? He was the primary guard in the first one with the boss's the son in the bath house, then again in Parabellum, and again in this one.
