Take Army -12.5

Kickoff from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Army is averaging 429.7 total yards per game this season, while Temple averages 318.5. The Black Knights are favored by 12.5 points in the latest Army vs. Temple odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 46.5. These are still my favorite Army uniforms ever. From 2008 v Navy:

Imagine being the 5 seed and having to prepare for this triple option in the first CFP game.

Jfc this pbp guy is making Kanye "Through The Wire" references because I guess Army has a back named Kanye. He and Lowell should get a room together.

Right?  This ain't the marines.

3 failed possessions within the last 2 minutes of the half is going to be impressive

I was wondering about that.  I'm not sure enough people care about Temple football.

Army should grab some ranking spots. The announcers made a taysom hill reference. That hurt a little.

Great way to end it, just a perfect tackle.  Clearly the booth guys loathe the targeting call as well.

Broke the streak, and it's still my favorite tribute jersey.  'twas my son's Firsty( Senior) year and they partied that night like no evening ever in their 4 years on the Hudson.  We were just visiting about it this past week and he told me, "Dad, me and my buddies( all of whom I have met) almost got our Roy Orbison tattoos* that night! but some squid kept fucking with( one of the guys) and instead we almost had a rumble in the bar."  Just one more layer of the pageantry that is Army-Navy.

*think Waterboy, but the Army kicking mule.

Damn the over was a great bet too, although getting to 47pts was definitely in doubt at halftime.

Their schedule has been shit.  a slate of nobodies, whom they have beaten, but shit teams all of em.

They might be in the conversation at the end, but they are much more likely to be about 9-3.

Being a plebe there in 1978 and getting our asses kicked by AFA and Navy it’s nice to see them run the old Texas triple option  / Wishbone style and play to their strengths which is misdirection and never and I mean NEVER throw the ball unless it’s a pitch.

So around top 15 then.

We’ll see.

Personally, I think it would be a disaster. They will out execute/ out discipline/ and out-grit anyone; but they don’t have the trench monsters to hang with the big boys in any playoff game. They damned sure don’t have elite speed at the skill positions on either side of the ball.
Notre Dame @ Yankee Stadium looms in November. That’ll tell a lot, and ND isn’t elite either.
