So our game time is still listed as “flex” between 2:30pm and 7pm. Looking at the schedule the next two weeks:

I think it is safe to assume we are going to be on ABC/ESPN for this game. With only one prime time spot on those networks it is going to be between our game and the Bama vs Tenn game for that spot.

If we want a night game we likely want Georgia to win tomorrow (plus an undefeated Georgia sounds like more fun).

My first thought is the winner of tomorrow gets the prime time slot but TX/GA is probably the bigger potential viewership so I think it'll be the 7pm game regardless of tomorrow's outcome. Top matchup featuring the #1 is prime time viewing.

Would be criminal not to have this as the prime time game unless us and GA lose before then.

I thought so too, until I realized the SEC only has one prime time game (not on SEC network).

If Bama beats Georgia badly I can see pollsters leaping them to number 1.

It works out for me better for it to be 2:30, so that's what I want to happen.  I expect it will be the night game though.

I’m thinking we want them to lose to Bama, then beat their ass at DKR. Chances are they’d then be left out of the sec championship and possibly the playoffs. Just a thought

I think it will be a low scoring game. Not a rock fight like aggy😌ND, but something like 28-24.

Ryan Williams is the truth, as is Jam Miller (should have been a horn. Fuck Tom Herman), and Justice Haynes.

Georgia has some key players out, which is why I think Bama wins.

If bama wins tomorrow, bama and tenn will both be undefeated when they play.

Didn't we see data last year that the later you get in the day, the worse a game draws for TV on average?  That's why we have "Big Noon" and not "Big Prime time" matchups.  I'd expect the game to be 2:30p.

my main hope is one way or another the timing here forces georgia to prepare for bama, wear itself out while we play a heavily depleted OU team

Maybe but if you look how they scheduled this weekend the best game is in the evening (Georgia vs Bama)

I mean. No? Undefeated Bama/Tenn would be a massive fucking game and a rivalry game.

Well, personal experience tells me that when I've been drinking since about 9 am, the evening games become a problem sometimes.

Doesn't matter.  Be it Georgia, Bama, or anyone else, we are going to beat their ass in the sec championship game.  And if whoever it is comes back for more in January, we'll beat their ass again.  Only worse.

Yes, late games and watch parties mean I usually have to re-watch the game the next day because the details of what happened are very hazy.

Mark it down. /Nothelobious

If Helo says the game is at 2:30, I'll just assume it's getting moved to Tuesday.

i'm mentally preparing for 2:30 as i'm expecting both alabama and tennessee to be undefeated.

I’m watching the Miss St game in London tomorrow, which means a 9:15pm kick. Going to have to really watch myself to make sure I remember it. Of course, a 40+ point mudholing is not all that important to remember.

Yeah, those are not that big of a deal.  The good games I like to actually try to pay attention, but I'm not waiting until the late afternoon to start drinking either.  It's a conundrum.

Team 2:30 lets go 🐂🐂🐂

Who cares? We're going undefeated and whomever is in our way will take a beating. We're gonna roll Georgia twice if they make the championship. We would fuck Tenn up, and Bama still has PTSD from us letting them know fuck around and find out.

We have the roster, coach, culture, and a team of killers. We almost climed to the mountain top, and now we will. It's gonna be great to add another trophy to our cases, especially when Quinn wins the Heisman.

yeah....the last night game we watched I could tell that my wife was getting wasted because her face was all blurry...

Crazy, when I searched for it I was puzzled by why…..

Now I feel bad, I didn’t write a longer essay on reasoning.

Yeah they'd definitely want the new #1(Bama) vs the #4 Vols over the #2(dropped Texas) vs the 6/7(maybe even lower?) Georgia

Certainly expecting us to get the earlier time given what Georgia is doing here

Yeah.  Maybe it won't be as hot by then?

Yea  Bama and Tennessee will lock down the late spot save some surprising stumble

Texas/Georgia would get better ratings.

And if that’s the case I bet Gameday will be at the Red River shootout the week before.

Probably so because of network affiliation.

but staying out west for Ohio St/Oregon would be the best game.
instead they’re going to end up with a lot Tennessee and Oklahoma in a short span

Tenn/ou sept 21.

Texas/ou oct 12 (they can’t be in Oregon and have herbstreit call our game and idk what other game he would do. Ole Miss/LSU was in the running but not after today)

Bama/tenn Oct 19

probably Tenn/UGA Nov 16

I’m sure they’ll want to be in college station Nov 30. We’ll see if aggy can do their part

True, if the did Texas and Georgia they would end up with a lot of Texas (inc Mich) and Georgia. So it kinda feels like that are going to end up with one of those teams at least 3 times.

Oregon / Ohio State will be a Fox Broadcast.   So that gives them an out.   If not the UGA game in Austin, I don’t see another marquee matchup other than aggy to chose from or Red River and certainly not an Austin appearance which would be odd considering our poll position.   Heck they still might do the UGA game and try to tie in some Formula One stuff thanks to ESPN being the media outlet for F1 and the events happening the same weekend in the area

Oct 12th schedule released, we knew our game time at 2:30.

But ABC/ESPN did schedule competing evening SEC games. So i guess there is slight hope of 2 evening games….But i am not sure there is a 3rd compelling game on the 21st.

They aren't going to put Bama-Tennessee and Texas-Georgia against one another lol

I'm not familiar with the scheduling rules and their peculiarities, but seems like the three best match-ups that weekend will be all on ABC.

11:00=3rd best

2:30=2nd best

6:30=best

Match-up ranking TBD at last possible moment.

Not saying much here though.

Lol long as we take care of business next week and UGA does that’s probably a 1 v 4 matchup

Game time will be listed as 2:30 or 6:30 for us vs Georgia and Tenn/Bama. Final pick will happen the Sunday after Texas OU

with Bama losing to Vandy If a #1 Texas takes care of Business and UGA does to that’s the obvious night cap

plus they’ve already been to a Bama and Tennessee game so is not like next week where they have not been to a fOUS/Oregon game

Yeah, I'm talking game time, not Gameday. If we lose to OU, we're not getting a night game. But we're not going to lose to OU. Still, SEC will show the 2:30 or 6:30 to provide ABC cover on the game time decision they have to make. They're not making that decision on Monday...unless Tennessee loses tonight.

Yea Arkansas imo is to dumb to win this game but nevertheless rather Tenn wins or not with Bama losing and Texas the likely #1 team in the country that’s ya obvious night game imo

So...we're getting the night game.
