In front of thibs would also mean in front of rick brunson.
October 15, 20241 yr I really dont know if there has ever been a bigger bitch in sports history. Philly at Denver isn’t involved with a B2B. We will see if he dodges Joker again
October 15, 20241 yr Is anyone else just not a fan of Malika Andrews? She should be one of the better ESPN desk presences (not that that's a high fucking bar to clear) but I still can't bring myself to enjoy her.

The only person on the espn desk I could handle was Lowe and they got rid of him. Wonder what nbc & Amazon will have for studio folks I’m sure Harlan will get a bag once tnt is done, he’d be sick on NBC

October 17, 20241 yr No Hartenstein for a few weeks in OKC. They were exceptionally healthy last year. It was a big reason for them having the best record in the west.

October 18, 20241 yr Charlotte could be a sneaky play-in / playoff team. I could see it with a healthy Lamelo (yeah... I know) and a rapidly ascending Miller, along with Bridges and by some miracle a healthy Mark Williams, combined with how many hardcore eastern conference tankers there are.
October 18, 20241 yr The fact that Rick Barnes couldn’t make it past the Elite Eight with Dalton Knect is wild
October 18, 20241 yr Does LeBron get credit for Knecht? Or does he only run the Lakers when the bad stuff happens?

October 18, 20241 yr 18 minutes ago, ztejas said: Clown. Show. I'm not sure that was intentional. I think he got confused about what to do in that situation and froze, while Bridges ran into him expecting an NBA player to go up and contest the shot. Great thing is Bronny has a lot of time to learn how to play defense and contest shots at the rim before Game 1 of the season, and he has 4 years guaranteed to learn on the job too!

October 21, 20241 yr The NBA needs expansion because Lonnie Walker couldn't make the roster of the defending NBA Champions? I don't get it.

Boston, I believe, is in some weird roster crunch with the salary cap that I don't fully understand and signing him may impact moves later this season. But yeah.... there are a ton of guys on two way contracts who Lonnie is better than. That said, Lonnie is one of the more frustrating players I've ever seen. One night he looks like Kobe Bryant. The next 10 he looks like he's never played organized basketball. I've always pulled him though. He seems like a good dude and had a pretty rough upbringing. I can't imagine that he couldn't get rotation minutes for the Nuggets, who are desperate for warm bodies who can hit a three.
October 21, 20241 yr Hey may find a roster somewhere but I'm not going to weep if this guy gets processed out of the NBA.
October 21, 20241 yr 32 minutes ago, ztejas said: Hey may find a roster somewhere but I'm not going to weep if this guy gets processed out of the NBA. Other than the one year with the Lakers, he's been on shit teams. He did shoot 38% from three on 4.7 attempts per game last year. That would have been tied for second best 3P% on the Spurs behind McBuckets last season. Which I suppose is a sad commentary on both the Spurs and LWIV. In other NBA news, Monty Williams got a gig coaching his kid at TMI. Can't wait for him to get outcoached by some shlub from a 3A high school in some random San Antonio suburb. https://arizonasports.com/story/3561931/suns-monty-williams-coaching-job/
October 21, 20241 yr Post ASB last season he was good. If they get that going forward and he keeps improving that's not a bad contract. Have to pay someone.

October 22, 20241 yr The Rockets signed Green and Sengun to pretty reasonable deals yesterday. I wasn't a fan of the Brooks signing, but their front office seems to be doing a lot of things right these days. I thought they might go the route of waiting until the offseason to give them max cap flexibility. Bird in hand, I suppose. Plus the free agent crop isn't anything to get excited about. The Nuggets also extended Aaron Gordon and he did them a solid by opting in for one more year. It gives them some flexibility in the short term but they are committed to their core four now for the foreseeable future. If they can get anything from the rest of their team, I kinda like them coming out of the west. Nobody is picking them and they still have the best player in the world. I feel like they were a bizzarro fourth quarter collapse against Minnesota from winning the west last year. Looking forward to the season kicking off. Everybody is jocking OKC and Boston, but there is so much parity around the league. I think there's going to be some wacky shit happen this year.

It's much more about straight up $$$. Walker isn't eligible for a two-way contract. Because of where they are with the tax, it would cost the Celtics about $11M on a $2.1M contract for a guy who is going to play every couple of weeks.
