Thunder won the trade deadline just by getting Chet back weeks earlier than everyone thought.

They'll have a lineup of:

Chet/Hart/Dub/Dort/SGA

They can have a lockdown lineup of:

Chet/Dub/Caruso/Dort/Wallace  (good lord).  SGA is still very good on defense but they have three elite wing defenders with an elite shot blocker.

But all that defense leads to fouls. It's gonna be sad when OKC loses round 2 to the Lakers, while Luka and Bron combine for 35+ free throws a game...

mark williams is a good add for LAL.

I know little about him, but his stat line looks good.  Knecht is a loss though for sure.  I don't think we'll have a first rounder for the rest of my lifetime.

2 year tank plan for Flagg and Dybansta?

Spurs have or control their 1st rd pick for the next three years from the Dejounte Murray trade. 2026 is a swap, but 2025 and 2027 belong to the Spurs.

Clippers trade Mann and Bones to Hawks for Bogdon.

The Hawks just sent Houston a SRP for the Rockets to take Cody Zeller off their hands.

I have no idea what they are doing. I don't think they do, either.

Maybe they think you get a first round pick if you collect ten second round picks.

Maybe they are ready to go all in on Dominique's ghost.

Lakers are going the Suns route of having no depth.  Didn't work out for Phoenix..

The league is punishing him for his slave comments.

[Charania] The Memphis Grizzlies are trading Marcus Smart and a 2025 first-round pick to the Washington Wizards in a multi-team trade that sends two second-round picks to Memphis, sources tell ESPN. Memphis creates roster flexibility with the move.

Memphis traded two firsts to get him and another to get rid of him. I would criticize them but they are absolute witches at finding value rotation players out of nowhere.

Yeah that isn't happening.

OKC is a fucking machine right now and they just got Chet back. It would be a huge letdown for them to not make the Finals.

Who's the 26 a swap with? Decent chance that 25 pick might not be a lottery pick.

Wonder what he's going to compare the trade system to now.

I don't think they had any choice.  Nobody wants any part of the Nnaji or Saric contracts and they don't have much draft capital to work with.

I think one of the problems with the NBA is that so many moves have little to do with the actual product on the court. Things are so complicated that it’s difficult, if not impossible, for the casual fan to understand WTF is going on

It’s a swap with Atlanta. The Spurs own or control the Hawks’ 2025-27 picks from the Dejounte Murray trade.

Yeah we’re fucked. A few shitty overpaid assets we want to get rid of and have no draft picks to sweeten the deal and MPJ making boatloads of money and he’s playing too well this year for them to dump his contract. The only way we were making a move is if Watson or Strawther was included along with dead weight and Watson just got hurt. Nnaji and to a lesser extent Saric deals are looking really fucking dumb, but Nnaji has played better the past few games.

Not to mention paying Jamal Murray as much as they did AFTER he looked terrible at the Olympics. Thank the lordt Russell Westbrook is playing well. My bro just got a signed Westbrook Nuggs jersey at a watch party here last week. More than a little jealous about that.

They have been playing well lately, just need to get healthy.  I'd be pissed if they traded Watson or CB and Mike's contract is tough to move. Nnaji looks like he belongs on an NBA roster the past few games.  Hopefully he can keep that up and build on it.

There's no age where you're too young to fly.  That's a personal decision.

Yeah no doubt. I guess I meant we’re fucked from a roster flexibility standpoint. Tons of money allocated to MPJ and Murray. Nnaji with a big contract and for his career, underperforming. No draft capital. 2nd apron is a bitch.

A lot of promise from CB, Watson, and to a bit lesser extent Strawther, so I’m glad we didn’t trade them. First round pick DaRon Holmes injured for the year who we were excited about. You know it’s not great though when Unc (DeAndre Jordan) is playing good minutes. He’s supposed to just be a coach in uniform who plays a lot of golf.

Either way I’m excited for the playoffs. OKC is really the only team I don’t think we’d beat in a 7 game series in the west, every other team we have a fighter’s chance. Have tickets to 3 games rest of regular season and will hit at least 1 game each playoff series.

When you have the best player in the world, you've got a shot against everyone, but they're no longer the favorites.  This team's issue is playing defense.  They can score with anyone, just need the defensive intensity to ramp up.

Also like, that's the business, bro.  You're being paid millions of dollars, I think you'll both live.

Most experts say that it is not good for a baby under 2 mos old.

4 hours ago, Dutchrudder said:

Oh wow, I didn't know he was available. Nice get by the Cavs, and a huge upgrade over Levert, who can't stay healthy. Hunter has 2 more years on his contract and is 27 years old. He should fit in well with the guys on this team playing active defense and shooting nearly 40% from 3. The Cavs need some tall wing players to help match up better with Boston.

I'm guessing the Nets want a lot more for Cam Johnson, so they went with Hunter for a much cheaper price. Leverts 16m is expiring, so that frees up some cap space for ATL next year. Niang has 1 year 8m left, and the 2nds are negligible. Great move.

The bolded part below is huge - and we finally got ourselves a legit wing.

The Hawks and Cavaliers have reached an agreement on a trade that will send forward De’Andre Hunter to Cleveland, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, who reports (via Twitter) that Atlanta will acquire Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, three second-round picks, and two pick swaps.

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com confirms Charania’s report (via Twitter), adding that the Cavaliers are looking to include a third team in the deal as well.

As cap expert Yossi Gozlan tweets, the Cavs will move out of the luxury tax as a result of the trade and will now be about $1.5MM below the tax line. They will have two open roster spots once the deal is official (they’ve only been carrying 14 players on their standard roster) and will eligible to sign any player on the buyout market.

2 mos bc of immunizations, and it's only a soft guideline. Tho it does like like most airlines impose a one week minimum.

This is his 4th season making $2M/yr. He can charter a plane. Or the Spurs can pick her up.

Getting some vintage Klay tonight.

I'm assuming Boston comes back and wins this.

- 30th in points,
29th in offensive rating -
30th in 3P%,
30th in eFG%
- 27th in FGA,
29th in pace
