42-17-8 at age 40 is insane for the GOAT.

Lukas gonna extend LeBrons career another five years.

Luka's gonna turn Bronny into a scoring threat from downtown.

Nuggets hitting their stride. 13-4 over the last 17 and that’s with all kinds of guys in and out of the lineup.  Jokic keeps getting better somehow.

hasnt been exactly murderers row, and they lost to most of the good teams

The bolded part below is huge - and we finally got ourselves a legit wing.

The Hawks and Cavaliers have reached an agreement on a trade that will send forward De’Andre Hunter to Cleveland, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, who reports (via Twitter) that Atlanta will acquire Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, three second-round picks, and two pick swaps.

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com confirms Charania’s report (via Twitter), adding that the Cavaliers are looking to include a third team in the deal as well.

As cap expert Yossi Gozlan tweets, the Cavs will move out of the luxury tax as a result of the trade and will now be about $1.5MM below the tax line. They will have two open roster spots once the deal is official (they’ve only been carrying 14 players on their standard roster) and will eligible to sign any player on the buyout market.

Pretty big because there are some other big time teams that wont be able to sign some of the higher priced buyout guys

Any of these pussies who got traded actually gonna play?

Yawn.

Its very rare for a newly traded player to play the same day they were traded

Man when he said that shit I said dafuq out loud LOL

If you were power rating the league right now, how would you rank the top 10?  I think I'd go:

1. OKC

2. Boston

3. Cleveland

4. NY Knicks

5. LA Lakers

6. Denver

7. Minnesota

8. Houston

9. Memphis

10. Milwaukee

  6. New York
  7. Houston
  8. Clippers
  9. Pacers/Bucks/Lakers

I think Memphis is a bitch right now. JJJ is playing out of his mind. They are deep and can beat you in different ways.

I might have the Knicks too low. I just don't trust their bench and how much burn their starters get. I still give Denver a slight edge because Jokic.

The Clips have played almost all of the season without Kawhi. They are probably a little better than their record.

I want to see what the Lakers look like defensively post-AD. I don't think it's going to be pretty.

I think we will learn a lot about Minnesota by the end of the month. Schedule is Portland (who has been red hot), at Cleveland, Milwaukee, OKC, All star break, at Houston, OKC, at OKC, and at Lakers.

4 NY Knicks (they beat Denver bad recently)

5 Denver

6 Memphis

7 Minnesota

8 Houston

9 LA Lakers (haven’t even seen the new team play yet)

10 Indiana (w 7 of last 10)

Power rankings after this past week....Houston ain't even in the top 10.

I don't know how much defense they will even need in the regular season w Luka and LeBron.

This season for them is going to hinge on Luka and M. Williams health.

I think they have a high ceiling and an ugly floor.

The West race for spots 6-12 is going to be a fucking bloodbath post ASB.

I think this is turning into one of the most fun regular seasons in awhile. Granted the Spurs not sucking complete ass helps.

OKC

Boston

Cavs

Memphis

Knicks

Denver

Lakers

Clippers

Bucks

Wolves

I'll do my current odds to make a run/win the title instead of snapshot "power rankings" that I think are useless.

(These aren't necessarily in order)

Heavy favorites:

OKC

BOS

Challengers:

NYK

CLE

Memphis

Denver

Dark horses:

LAL

MIL

MIN

Long shots:

HOU

DAL

That's 11. Sue me. I wouldn't include Dallas except they just went in and spanked Boston without AD and they may have some "fuck you" energy of their own. So asterisk them I guess. Or asterisk the Rockets who have zero relevant experience or, frankly, capability to close playoff games out.

No one else is sniffing the Finals. I think it would take something crazy for anyone else to make the conference Finals - maybe GSW, LAC or IND could do it in a fever dream. The Spurs are a lot of games back and don't have a functional head coach otherwise I'd entertain some crazy Wemby shit.

Man he showed so much promise in Denver, but we all thought her cared more about his rap career than basketball.

Spurs are still terrible.

Hard to win when you can't shoot.

Ausar Thompson needs to play on the ball more. 11/7/5 at the half with Cade out. Up 29 on the terrible Sixers.

I was really wondering about that with as well as his twin was playing.   The Pistons should be able to get him more opps

Damn I love the Sixers getting curbstomped.   Seeing it happening in the D just makes it sweeter

He cannot shoot the ball, even a middie so he's a weird fit but he's a dynamo on defense and in transition. I was really surprised they have him running point tonight, I figured it would be Sasser but he is doing an awesome job. It would be a great chance to spell Cade and let him play off of the ball with Ivey out for the foreseeable future.

They got Schroder coming in

WTF this PHX/Utah game.

Suns choke 13 pt lead in 6 min. Jazz have 4 pt lead with 5 seconds left. Allen hits 3, 1.2 left. quick foul on Lauri, Lauri makes both instead of missing the second and Jazz are up 3. Suns call TO and call a great play and Grayson hits a 3 pter with .9 left. OT.

Counterpoint: Ben Simmons has been destined to play for the Clippers at least once in his career (and probably multiple times) since the day he was born.

Took about 30 game minutes for Anthony Davis to get hurt

It’s amazing that Ben Simmons is still in the NBA.

I'll give him 5-6 more games. Then he is going to have to learn Chinese.

[KATZ] The Mark Williams trade has been rescinded, Lakers say.

That kind of fucks over the Lakers, who are now without a real center.

Williams on that team would've made them really, really interesting in the playoffs.

Nurkic is supposedly a buyout candidate, he would be a nice consolation prize if the Lakers want him.

The trade was conditional on Mark Williams and Dalton Knecht reporting and passing a physical.

Because the deadline has passed, the trade was not allowed to be amended.

Williams goes back to Charlotte Knecht/Cam Reddish to LAL

The draft conditions: 2030 swap and 2031 unprotected first are voided.

Hard to say if he would’ve played any longer than AD before getting another injury. He’s played in just 40 percent of all the games he could have for Charlotte.

Be interesting to see how the Knicks close the season.
