November 14, 20241 yr Striking fear into the hearts of the opponents with the Branham/Collins pick-and-roll I see. That lineup was such dogshit. The kind of stuff that Sochan would help prevent.
November 14, 20241 yr Author This isn’t exactly the most intense defense I’ve ever seen from either team, but Vic has 21 points in 9 minutes.
November 14, 20241 yr Any reason there are so few fans other than it being Washington? Kind of a disappointing turnout.
November 14, 20241 yr Branham was a -15 in 5 mins. We've been tortured enough already for fuck's sake. I don't care if he had a nice jam he's undersized and can't play defense or point guard. Unless he starts scoring like Lou Will or Jamal Crawford the experiment needs to end.
November 14, 20241 yr This is the perfect example of a game where Sochan being out is killing us. We aren't playing with any intensity or grit and letting the worst team in the league do whatever they want on O. Fortunately they are shitty enough that we should still be able to BS our way to a win. Need a run to get some separation. Also Wemby might go for 50.

November 14, 20241 yr That's a foul but I love that transition D from Castle. Take a chance - see what the ref calls - and make him earn it from the line if you pick up a whistle. And he misses both! LOL Fuck me this kid has some special potential.
November 14, 20241 yr Author Just now, hornfan785 said: Jesus Christ, Wemby! That was fucked up. Logo three and then on the floor for the steal. Just stupid.
November 14, 20241 yr Well he could hit 50 easy but now we're up 21. Put Branham and Collins back in for 90 seconds WAS will get it down to 8.

November 14, 20241 yr Not only did Wemby put up 50 - we have a little squad going - boys. We were 15th in net rating coming in to tonight (a spot ahead of the pinche Lakers). We'll see where this game winds up but it will likely keep that # going in the right direction. Would love to make a little noise in the play-in. Also I hate how right I was about putting ZC and Branham back in. Holy shit those guys suck. Edited November 14, 20241 yr by ztejas
November 14, 20241 yr That's not a foul. Bad, late whistle by that chick. Ball is out of JoVal's hands before any of the contact. What I don't understand about challenges - why is the person that made the shitty call allowed to sit there and defend it. Leave it to the other 2 refs and maybe a league rep sitting in a booth somewhere. Edited November 14, 20241 yr by ztejas
November 14, 20241 yr lol at Sochan in street clothes trying to get involved in that little scuffle, and then laughing about it.

November 14, 20241 yr Now this timeout? Yeah there's some salty ass behavior happening here. Embarrassing.
November 14, 20241 yr Branham finishes with a -22 in a 9 point win in 13 minutes. Meanwhile Wesley is a +9 in 13 minutes. Can anyone explain what's going on to me because this is turning into one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen an NBA team continue to double-down on. Is the dude playing like fucking Kobe in practice? Did he get a copy of the Epstein list with a bunch of Spurs execs on it? He's kind of a crafty scorer but isn't great from 3 and can't play a motherfucking lick of defense. Let alone run an NBA offense.
November 14, 20241 yr Author So apparently 50 points in 26 minutes is the fastest 50 in NBA history. I take back everything I said about his conditioning and shot selection. I think he’s going to work out alright.
November 15, 20241 yr Big game tonight, fellas. At least - as big as they can be in November. Lakers -3.5 which I think is a tad high after we just covered twice at home - also considering we are above them in both SRS (12th vs. 15th) and net rtg (14th vs. 16th) on the season. I'm not used to having a bang-average NBA team - it's been awhile. Just need to weather whatever horrible lineups we come up with involving Branham and/or ZC. Really wish we would give Wesley and Mamu/Bassey respectively more run in those guys' stead but what do I know I'm just some asshole on the internet.
November 15, 20241 yr I know people don't like the courts for the in season tourney but.....this is pretty gorg. I love our color scheme options.

It's probably too early in the season for the SRS and Net Rtg numbers to really mean anything, but there's no doubt the Spurs are improved. I've only watched the Lakers sporadically. They seem to be running some more diverse stuff on offense. The defense seems to have taken a step back. If Vic can keep shooting 50% on high volume three's, I like our chances. His battle with the brow last year had some great moments both ways. It will be a good measuring stick for him. Should be a fun one outside of the Lebron/Chris Paul lovefest and as long as it doesn't devolve into a three point chucking / 130+ point game.

November 16, 20241 yr Castle can ball. he doesn’t look or play like a rookie Just now, ztejas said: That's a horrible fucking shot KJ. Never change. The worse. It’s as if thinks he’ll never get the ball again. So he shoots out of desperation
November 16, 20241 yr Dumb challenge. They aren't reversing that against LeBron. Rookie HC move there.
November 16, 20241 yr Similar to last game. Great start and then we get lazy and the lineups get worse and we give it right back.
November 16, 20241 yr K so... what's Sochan's timeline? Jfc. I think a spilled bucket of popcorn would play better D than Branham.
November 16, 20241 yr Malaki Branham has jogged back on transition three consecutive trips. The old ass Lakers are running the Spurs off the court. Edited November 16, 20241 yr by Kermit

November 16, 20241 yr LOL I was going to make the same comment that RJ just did. One of Castle/DV needs to change their hair because it keeps taking me a couple seconds to figure out who has the ball.
