I’ll be rolling with MLB.tv (net $100 after MLBPAA membership) and a DNS/VPN service for less than $5/mo

Just a reminder that T-Mobile customers free MLB.tv offer is available beginning tomorrow.

Ryan Gusto will open the season in the Astros bullpen. Joe Espada said he told Gusto after his outing tonight that he’ll fill the last bullpen spot.

Gotta be the coolest feeling to get that news, especially in Gusto's situation. He was on the roster for one game but the game was canceled so was he really on the roster for a game?

Source: OF Chas McCormick is on the #Astros Opening Day roster.

McCormick is a plus outfield defender at multiple positions on a team that has two outfielders brand new to the position

Joe Espada also confirmed he’s going with Isaac Paredes in the second lineup spot and Yordan Alvarez third entering the season.

I guess the last remaining question is Dezenzo. I assume Rodgers is in as infield utility

Zach Dezenzo has made the opening day roster, per Joe Espada

Ready to roll. Got the right arm on ice. Let's get this season going. New blood in the lineup . Looking forward to seeing the wave start in 106 couple times a month this season.

Walker heading back to Houston tonight after taking a bunch of AB's in minor league games the last few days without issue. Expected to be in the lineup Thursday.

Get Cam Smith in a HEB commercial immediately! Stros would be smart to go for one of those Jackson Chourio contracts pretty quickly with this dude. Guessing for tomorrow we see

2B- Altuve

3B- Paredes

DH- Yordan

1B- Walker

C- Yainer

RF- Cam

SS- JP

LF- Dezenzo

CF- Myers

or Rodgers at 2B and Altuve in LF

Dusty in here.

The call up. #BuiltForThis

Cam Smith, who is in tears of joy, talks about making the team

With both Smith and Dezenzo making the roster (and Chas as well), this Altuve LF experiment is on shaky ground.

Dezenzo has, almost exclusively, been an infielder in his baseball life.

He's been mostly playing OF in S/T and we saw how he did at third last year

I did not realize that. But, regardless , I agree that Altuve should probably move back to second base

I never believed it until now but it's good to see Dana finally follow through with promoting someone early.

Now go win ROY and get us a draft pick.

MLB question.

If I subscribe to MLB Network on YouTube TV will I get the Astros’ games here in Georgetown or is there some sort of weird blackout rule?
Now that I am retired I have a lot more time for baseball, especially weekday afternoon games.

I don't know about you tube TV, but I have the MLB network and pay for all the games. Any game in your local viewing area is blacked out. We're in the KC area so don't get any of the royals games, or when they play the stros. When I'm in Texas I can't watch them because my internet access is in the viewing area. If you use a VPN you can get around all the local blackout stuff.

#3150

Don’t confuse MLB Network and MLB.TV.  MLB Network gives you very few games.  MLB.TV gets you every game except teams in your home region which are blacked out.

If you live in Texas and you want to watch Astros games, you will have to get SCHN either through traditional cable/satellite or a streaming package that carries regional sports networks.  The only two streaming options that carry SCHN are Fubo and DirecTV Stream.

I am going into this year with audio only on MLB At Bat app because

a) fuck DirecTV and their incessant price increases and

b) Fubo doesn’t carry SCHN in Oklahoma.

Only games I will see this year will be national broadcasts.

If the withdrawal gets too bad, I may resort to MLB.TV and VPN.
