March 19Mar 19 Also speaking of HEB...is LMJ arm detached or did he make it through the night after his outing?

March 19Mar 19 Presley walks the bases loaded in his first appearance with the Cubs. That sounds familiar.

March 19Mar 19 Jose Altuve will play "most of his games" in left field this season, Joe Espada said today. He left the door open for things to change — injuries, good performances in the minor leagues — but made it clear that Altuve will open the season as the Astros' primary left fielder.

March 19Mar 19 This Altuve as an outfielder experiment needs to end. What a joke. https://x.com/aria1exander/status/1902491326513283551?s=61&t=pEX-lbI-xuRrzvqCO5caGg
March 19Mar 19 I appreciate Altuve willing to do whatever is needed for the team, but this idea is quickly accelerating into "everyone involved needs to be fired" territory.
March 19Mar 19 If JV was still on the team, he’d have “I literally hate Jose Altuve” shirts printed by the 5th inning of his first start.

Still don't like them overall but they're still better than the all blue clownsuits they've been wearing.
March 20Mar 20 Best team is probably Smith or Dezenzo in left and Chazzzz in right with Altuve at second Then if Chazz sucks, bring up the other rookie
March 20Mar 20 daikin roof stays closed, he won't have many shadow to sun fly ballsHopefully they can fit it in the carry on for 81 away games Thats also not the reason he is missing these. He sucks as an OF is why he is missing these. Roof open/closed isn't gonna matter
March 20Mar 20 Cam Smith continues to mash everything in sight during the Grapefruit League 🔥 The @astros' No. 1 prospect ups his spring slash line to .419/.500/.871 with his fourth homer of camp:
March 20Mar 20 RiP .... Luis Garcia will not throw a scheduled live BP today because his elbow is sore, Joe Espada said. Garcia’s throwing will be stopped while he is evaluated, a setback in his attempt to return from Tommy John surgery.

March 20Mar 20 TODAY'S ROSTER MOVES: The Astros optioned LHP Bennett Sousa and reassigned C Collin Price to minor league camp.

Seems like teams are overthinking this kind of stuff. Just let them play, and let their performance speak for them. There's room for Cam to start on this team, and they could use someone new to hype them up. Maybe him, Yainer and Pena can be start of the new wave of all stars for the next 10 years.

If you are worried about service time, fucking sign him to a long term deal today that buys out the 1st two years of FA along with his 6 years of control. Brown was with the Braves when they signed Acuna to a 8-$100M deal. Something similar could be done today, but the Acuna deal was done after his 1st two seasons with the Braves, so it was even better. If you want to wait a season, that is fine as well, but you should be looking to have Smith until he's 30. Edited March 20Mar 20 by HtownHorn
