and can we beat them with stick?  Just heard this expression on Sirius NFL channel. Not in favor of it. A Tuddy sounds like a toy for a small child or an ice cream flavor

It's the same number of syllables as "touchdown". So you can say the actual word with the same amount of effort, and not sound like a douchebag.

Abbreviated words like that, "The ATX", "natty", "vacay" etc. all need to go away.

It’s like saying “begs the question” when he means “raises the question.” It’s a signal to stop listening.

I’d be fine if we did away with lazy nicknames using first name initial, first syllable of last name.
J-Lo, J-Law, A-Rod etc

all of these were invented by sooners because they are easier to pronounce due to their lack of teeth

Tuddy is the verbal equivalent of an aggy bumper sticker or T-shirt. Thank you for letting me know you are an idiot.

Feels like something that would have provenance in sec country, from some small smooth brain working hard behind a set of bama bangs.

username checks out.

I first heard it during an exchange between Gronk and Brady after their Super Bowl win with the Bucs.

I believe he scored two tuddies in that game

I know that I’m an old now when shit like this pisses me off.  Putting aside tuddy, natty and the like, another thing that annoys me is seeing defensive backs doing the incomplete ref motions or the “no” finger wag particularly when they did nothing to cause the incompletion.  I like it though, when they get burned on the very next play and the receiver TAKES IT TO THE HOUSE!

Or the defenses getting gashed all the way down the field who make a stop on one play and dance.

If you watch it on TV, is it a "tele-tuddy"

I'll see myself out.....

It flows off the tongue better than "tee dee" as it's "tuh dee" and it's all about that stuff with the younger generation for some reason.

Can you put one of those banners like “well written content” but have it say “get off my lawn”

T-Bags ok?

But he wears sleeveless shirts and stands when he does radio. He's so badass

A win became a w which became a dub. Win has just as many syllables as dub so this isn't a time saving device

It’s so dumb.

Im going to start calling field goals “figgadys” and if you tackle a guy in the end zone, I don’t know, something stupid.

I've had reasonable success purging this blight from my fantasy football text thread. I made it clear that I would text the group a picture of goatse every time someone used the term.

As you can likely imagine, this plan wasn't without its own controversy, but it all eventually worked out to my satisfaction.

People who say "tuddy" are even worse than people who say "Ladybird Lake."

I’ve noticed it’s big with tv and radio people from the Philly and NY areas.

It inadvertently rolled out of my mouth the other day, and I almost vomited.

Give him a break. I'm sure his butthole is sore.

Brent Venables decided it should be called a tuddy.

I blame Pat McAfee

He's a symptom, not the problem.

This has been going on since the explosion of TV coverage.  All these broadcasters need a catchphrase, so they just throw out random shit like tuddy and dinger.

The genesis for me was Chris Berman's pathological need to make up nicknames for players.

Can’t wait for Quinn to get multiple tuddies in the natty on the way to the dub. Croots will be lining up to play for us.

He would stick his tuddy in it.

Seriously, tuddy sounds like a nickname for a micro-peen.
