February 7Feb 7 Yup. Dunked, side caught the bounce and toilet bowled a few times. Pretty cool, really. Then the beer went flying.
February 7Feb 7 Author That's especially cool for a journeyman like Grillo who otherwise hasn't really done anything remarkable on Tour (he has a couple C/D tier PGA wins). He'll remember that for the rest of his life.
February 7Feb 7 That's THE hole and THE tourney to get a HIO. No where else will you have a live 20K people experience it and lose the minds.

Shane Lowry needs to ace the 16th at TPC Scottsdale to complete the Mount Rushmore of holes-in-one in the U.S. He already has 17th at Sawgrass, 16th at Augusta, and 7th at Pebble.

February 9Feb 9 Shitty coverage so far today on ESPN +. Can’t believe they are not starting network coverage until 2PM Central. Stupid.

February 9Feb 9 That was so awesome to see Detry’s daughter run up to him on 18. Made me cry but I just turned 70 last week and I am an old sap. Still a great moment.

February 10Feb 10 Detry didn’t blink for two days. His back nine today was unreal. Nobody was catching him. Nice week for Jordan. He probably should’ve had wrist surgery 20 months ago. He’s always going to be a little wild off the tee but his game is avoiding bogeys which he’s sucked at for two seasons. This week very few negative holes.

February 13Feb 13 Rough day at Torrey, in the rain, 13 players currently under par; with the late tee times playing their back 9. Good thing this is a no cut event, or some big names would be missing on the weekend.
February 14Feb 14 Yesterday was wild. 614yds for 9 yesterday, into the wind. Seeing Scottie hitting 3 with 155 to go was weird.
February 14Feb 14 Is Torrey Pines the shittiest stop on tour in terms of course design? What a boring slog where every hole looks the same. Great setting though.

I guess I'm in the minority. I dig Torrey. I don't dig it twice in a month and it can't hold a candle to Riviera, but the shittiest design on tour? I would say it's in the top half.

February 15Feb 15 Maybe it's a TV thing. I've played there a couple times and there is nothing boring about it. It's hard fucking work. A ton of elevation change and hard to get your ball in the right part of the green.

February 16Feb 16 Course is giving it away today. Mav McNealy with 5 birds in a row. Ludvig is hot to start. Scottie lurking.
