May 4May 4 Don’t get me wrong. I love birdies however….. I much prefer a US Open type course with real rough and where 2 or 3 under can win.

I mean this is just a bullshit tour stop. Which is a shame because it used to be a decent tourney. I agree - again, though - that the winning score for most stops should be -10 to -20. This shit consistently plays -20 and up.
May 4May 4 Golf courses in the middle of a suburban housing development are boring as hell. This course and this tournament offer nothing for the television viewer to enjoy. I would rather watch these guys at a top golf before this.

May 4May 4 D/FW should have a legit tourney stop. They’ve destroyed the Byron Nelson brand the last 10 years. The south Dallas course was such an idiotic idea.

That was one of the strangest decisions I can remember. Someone had to be getting a huge backroom payoff to move the tournament down there. Besides it being a links golf course in Texas offering no natural shade, it was in the sketchiest of areas. We were thinking about going when they first moved it and then saw a story that an apartment complex directly across from the course had 4 active murder investigations going on. We passed.

May 5May 5 DFW has a handful of great courses and Craig Ranch ain't it. Colonial is epic. DNat is world class. Vaquero is wonderful but no way the membership invites a PGA circus. Fields Ranch East is going to be a great host for the PGA Championship. DCC and Lakewood I've heard are great but I'm not wealthy enough to be allowed on premise. But Craig Ranch and Trinity Forest blow. And yet, that's where they decide to play. This would be a far better event if they'd just pick one of the other better options in the DFW area. 3 hours ago, conVINCEd said: Mist of themattied prosbeing able to have the wife and kids at the Four Seasons piool all week. Colonial is the best stop in the DFW area. By a HUGE margin, too. A lot of the top players will skip it but that's a great course that stresses a lot the aspects of golf most modern courses don't, like Augusta in that respect.

It’s hot as shit every year and the field is normally weak.
May 5May 5 In other news, Charles Howell III earned $500k or so more than Scottie for a 2nd place finish in LIV’s little 54 hole tournament of eventual-winner BDC, unlikeables, random promising talents, unprincipled whores, and washed up has beens in Korea. Fatrick Reed was overheard commenting “fuck them kids” before surreptitiously lifting Ian Poulter’s wallet from his cart bag.

May 5May 5 Took my 12 year old out on Sunday. While I was happy in the club on 17 he wanted to autograph hound so you can guess how most of the afternoon was spent. He got the gray hat from one of the Puma guys ( I can't remember who), signatures from 15-20 guys, a ball from one (I'm not sure who), a glove from Sam Burns and signatures and fistbumps from both Jordan and Scottie. He was stoked. I'm guessing the PGA encourages guys to be as available as possible for tournaments in their "hometown" but I will give both Jordan and Scottie extra credit for coming back after they got done in the scoring tent and media session and signing for every kid who was waiting. Made my son's and a lot of other kid's days.

May 19May 19 I don't see an active LIV thread, so here it is If you are excited to see BDC, or Rahmbo, etc you only have to wait 3 weeks before they play a 54 holer as a US Open warm up
May 19May 19 i take back what i said, this is very much a tiger like run .... Scottie Scheffler's last four seasons. • 82 starts • 45 top 5s • 18 wins • 3 majors • 2 Players • 1 gold medal • 4 missed cuts • ~$75 million in official PGA Tour money • 141 weeks at world No. 1
May 19May 19 Against a much weaker field. It's hard to compare the two. We should stop and just enjoy the show.
May 22May 22 off and running at the Colonial. Spieth went out early. this is our first look at the newly renovated Colonial. looks fantastic. Edited May 22May 22 by Jive Turkey
May 22May 22 Looks miserably hot as fuck there. Of course it’s raining all day here on the North Shore, MA but I’m not complaining.
May 22May 22 Scottie -3, after 2 holes - he is playing a different game than even the Pros. It is more like going to the bank to make a deposit, than it is like competing with peers.

May 22May 22 How dominant is Scottie these days? After the first round today, he's sitting in a tie for 20th at -2, five strokes off the lead. Here's the live betting odds for tournament winner. Pak is the leader at -7. Hideki (OWGR #7) and Spieth are both just one stroke back of Scottie, lulz. I realize Hideki hasnt been playing his best lately, but greater than 40-1 seems crazy seeing as how he's one stroke behind Scottie and he has already won this year. Probably throw a small wager that way. Shit, I might do the same on Hossler as well as he's in second at -4.

May 23May 23 Rickie Fowler is dialed the fuck in this morning. shot a 6 under 29 on his first 9. he added another birdie. 7 under on his round so far.
