May 24May 24 Jesus, Scottie. Started the day at -1. Through 11 holes today, he was 7 under for the round, 8 under for the tourney. But he just made back to back bogeys.

May 26May 26 What a shitty fucking Sunday round. Winner (Ben Griffin) went +4 with no birdies over last 16 holes of tournament. Terrible golf from him and Schmid until a little drama on 18. Rickie was in the final threesome and played the worst of them all. Ugly stuff.
May 26May 26 All Sunday afternoons can't be awesome finishes. I was rooting for Schmid because I always root for people to win their first event.I woke up from my nap sometime during 60 Minutes and had to check the app to see who won.
May 26May 26 Down one shot, Schmid had a fried egg from the bunker on 17 after a bad approach shot, then decided to play it right of the green into deep rough to keep the ball semi-close to hole. Dottie and the crew were incredulous that he would be so conservative in that situation. He did "save" bogey though. His flop hole out on 18 was pretty awesome though.
May 28May 28 https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/45350150/pga-tour-eliminates-starting-strokes-format-tour-championship Quote The PGA Tour is eliminating the controversial starting-strokes format from the Tour Championship in its latest attempt to make its season-ending tournament more compelling and climactic for golf fans, the tour announced Tuesday. Starting with this year's Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta from Aug. 21 to 24, all 30 players in the field will start at even par in a stroke-play tournament. The winner after 72 holes will capture the FedEx Cup and collect a bonus and five-year PGA Tour exemption.

Should just be like a super marquee Tour event now. Jeez - only because they hated the tournament within a tournament, and the networks not keeping up with it or simplifying the season long event. They want to keep it simple, so don't mention top ten finishes, moving into/out of the OWGR top 50 .... there is more going on in many events beyond who wins the thing. But don't expect to hear about it on NBC, CBS or the Golf Channel.
May 29May 29 The Memorial is up and running, sans Rory. But Jordan is there thanks to a sponsor’s exemption.
May 29May 29 Scottie missed almost every fairway and found a bunker on almost every hole and is -2. Unfucking believable.
May 30May 30 And now 3 under thru 6 with two other birdie puts he could have easily made. he's dialed in, per usual.
May 31May 31 The Women’s U.S. Open coverage is stupid. It’s only on Peacock until 2pm when NBC picks it up. So you’ll get to see about half of the leaders’ round. In the meantime, my NBC affiliate is showing paid programming on retirement annuities.
May 31May 31 Then NBC sends the broadcast to the Golf Channel right at 5 with leaders still on the course. SMH

June 1Jun 1 The fuckstick who just yelled “one point Grifindor!” after Griffin’s tee shot should be stabbed in the neck with a knife.

June 6Jun 6 Not sure we’ve seen club face control, for years, like we are seeing with Scotty. Probably Tiger 2000 but it’s hard to remember week to week, 25 years ago. Just a truly remarkable level of consistency.
June 6Jun 6 So what’s the deal with this tournament? All the good players get held up in Immigration?
June 6Jun 6 Yeah. Only big names rolling out this week are likely sponsored by RBC so they have to show up. Edited June 6Jun 6 by MrX
June 6Jun 6 Rory made an 8 on the 5th hole and is gonna trunk slam the freaking Canadian Open. Not a big confidence boost going into next week…
June 6Jun 6 He talked a bit about a lack of motivation after the Masters. I bet he’ll get geared back up for The Open since it’s in Northern Ireland but I don’t expect much from him at Oakmont.
June 6Jun 6 Rory is +7 through 28 holes. leader in the clubhouse is -12. Edited June 6Jun 6 by Jive Turkey

June 8Jun 8 Just a terrible playoff. Playing an unreachable par 5 over and over is hardly compelling. Neither are the participants. Get this over with and bring on Oakmont Edited June 8Jun 8 by TonyTexas

June 9Jun 9 Hard to watch two guys choke on the greens in a playoff, but that last approach shot from Ryan Fox to win was pretty awesome.
June 19Jun 19 Spieth getting hammered at Buffalo Wild Wings waiting on his buddy (scheffler) after a mediocre weekend at the US Open…sounds like a surly poster (except substitute “local goat ranch” for “US Open”)
