He fucking ran out of bounds with the ball

😂😂😂😂😂😂

IIRC, the same thing happened when the Vols lost to Ole Miss in the mustard game a couple of years ago.  QB either ran out of bounds or threw it out of bounds on the last 4th down play.

I skipped today and they all do this, saw the end of Michigan USC and Tenner waiting for Miami

Oh and 8 is in a struggle too. Wow.

how many times have potentially 5 of the top 10 lose on the same day?  Only on conference championship days or bowl games maybe?

I'm pretty sure he threw it out of bounds or somewhere uncatchable.

Glad our players got to see these upsets first hand on their bye week. We gotta be mentally ready every week from here on out.

Indiana is now bowl eligible.  Even the most hardcore college football fan probably did not have the Hoosiers being the first bowl eligible team this season.

Sec really does suck this year overall 100% and we should beat everyone…. But I’m afraid of playing down to some of these backwoods teams and having a let down loss because of our history.

Just a perfect 2 weeks for Texas. Kentucky, Vandy, and Arkansas got their one major upset win out of the way now. Just going by odds, that is unlikely to happen again so we should be fine in those upcoming games.

The 2024 Texas locker room doesn’t give a shit/have any skeletons about “a let down loss because of our history”

11-0 vs 9-2 in College Station should be entertaining

Or hell us losing to UGA and they take care of lsu and run the table and both 11-1 with a spot in sec championship on the line as we win by 3 TDs would be entertaining too

Sark is. You don’t think he was fucking embarrassed last time and remembers hearing about how much he underestimated the hate between these teams? He’s going to stomp on their throats.

Either the Arkansas staff is brain damaged, the QB didn’t listen, or they just don’t trust the backup kicker.

Well their starting kicker sucks balls and he's the backup.  Of course they don't trust him.

Yes. That’s why I listed it as one of the reasons for that idiocy.

I was listening to this game on the radio in Simkins dorm. Needless to say that the whole place erupted after this play. One of my friends actually went to that game. When he and some of his colleagues celebrated amongst themselves, some female Arkansas fan just went up to him and spat in his face.  To any Longhorn fan going up there, always be careful  Arkansas fans are not normal.

True stat, actually.  Also, all of them are from a suburb in either Dallas or Houston.  Mostly Dallas.

Yeah, Starkville, Auburn, Gainesville, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, and Columbia (x2) are cultural metropolises.

True, but it is such a fun place to win. Beautiful setting and nice stadium with hostile fans.

I was there in person, in Longhorn Band, in the other end zone.  It was real and it was spectacular.

It was a perfect day for football.  Sunny but cool with a little breeze.  We put "God Bless the USA" in our halftime show so we wouldn't get booed.  Everyone stood up when we started playing it.  We didn't get booed.

On the last play, the middle opened up.  I could see a straight empty path from the QB all the way to ... really no one ... just the back of the end zone.  On the throw, Jones came out of nowhere and got crushed at the same time the ball got there.  We had no idea what had happened until he stood up and started pumping his fist and the stadium just went silent.

We jumped around for a while and eventually played Texas Fight and the Eyes of Texas.  The director told us that going to the buses right now was a bad idea so we should just stay and play.  So we played full blast for about fifteen minutes to an empty stadium.

We went outside to the buses.  While we were loading, this old guy with a plastic hog hat came over.  He said "That is IT!  I QUIT!  I am never ever coming back to this place.  Who wants my hat?"  My friend said "I'll take it!" and wore it on the bus all the way back to Austin.

You are correct.  Mike Patrick and Lee Corso were the announcers for the game.

I think we all forget that before they became what they are now, both Corso and Vitale could actually do Xs and Os effectively in their respective sports.

If one want to watch the 1987 arky game, a LHN broadcast (edited for time) has been uploaded.

I was listening while driving back to my dorm from my grandmother's funeral in New Braunfels.  Almost drove off 35 in celebration (not about Oma passing on, but about the play, even we Germans aren't that cold).

if you're going to rush the field, running through the middle of the losing team is never too smart
