What a game last night.  MSG lives up to the hype.  Fantastic venue.  10/10 experience.  Now on a flight back to Dallas to get ready to beat the Buckeyes.

We’re playing like we’re going out in 5 games round 1. Atrocious.

Cruise control. At least I hope so.

I know DeBoer ain’t happy. Cruise Control doesn’t mean 40 shots on goal every night. And your defenders car crashing into each other.

First team ever to score an empty netter to go up 3 and still lose

Was anyone here at the game? I noticed a few empty seats in the final minute. I love it when fans leave early and get home to find out they missed an incredible finish/loss.

I was there with my 8 year old.  Tried to get him to leave after going up 4-2 and again after the empty netter given a school night and all but he was hopped up on popcorn and wanted to stay.  Then of course he desperately had to pee so watched the last 30 seconds and tying goal in disbelief with the ushers at top of concourse.  Made it back to watch OT to finish off the collapse.  Disgusting.  I think we all hope this team is playing lackadaisical and will turn it on during the playoffs but this may just be who we are without Miro.  That doesn't excuse the forward play the last 3 weeks though.   We actually played a pretty solid game (albeit against inferior competition) until the 3rd then let our foot off the gas.  Then once they got within 1 played solid again to kill of the rest of the double minor and "put the game away" until the biggest collapse in NHL history.   I'm definitely not feeling optimistic matching up against the Avs at the moment. At this point just start managing minutes for the playoffs (particularly last 2 games).  Avs will have 3 days extra rest as a result of the schedule.  Schapiro mapped it out and thinks likely we start that Saturday night start.  Send Bischel down and get Seguin a couple of games in.   All we need is 1 more point to clinch home ice so secure that next 2 games and road trip will be completely inconsequential.

Ill be there tomorrow!

Can't think of much to comment. On one hand, it was one of those things that makes us fans. We were just on the wrong side of it. We gave up a point and a regulation win that we really needed. On the other hand, every player should spend the day asking himself what he could have done differently. The team played an intense game, and then just had their mental fortitude collapse. The first goal was one of those crazy things that happen in hockey. The last was an easy pass into the net against a bunch of shell-shocked statues.

Once again, another game where the refs were eagle-eyed in OT if you're wearing a Stars sweater. Once again, I'd like to gripe, but I lost that right on the last 60 seconds of regulation.

I do expect us to wallop the Jets. It just won't change anything any more.

honestly blame it on coach here. he should have taken a timeout at some point  - maybe when it got within a goal - and let them gather themselves. instead we just winged it and got embarrassed as a result.

The actual collapse was just one of those crazy things that happen but also completely unacceptable.   What was almost more concerning to me was the way we started the 3rd with a 3-0 lead.   After losing a 3rd period lead in back to back games (something we pretty much never did all season), we came out and immediately give up a power play goal with only like 30 seconds left to kill it off.  And then let them completely control play while also taking a double minor.   It's just been consistently inconsistent and unfocused hockey for weeks now which we just haven't seen much from this team at all in DeBoer's tenure. It's why he's been riding their ass after wins because the standard is slipping.  Miro is obviously a huge piece of this but the other leaders on this team better step up big time or Colorado will make easy work of us I'm afraid.

I am HOPING there was a lot of screaming in the locker room last night. Maybe tomorrow night the boys will treat this like a playoff game. You know they will skate a little harder, but so will WPG. Should make for a fun game.

Me, too. Driving down from Injun Territory. Honestly, Jets/Stars should be a fantastic game. Hopefully we'll see a Hellebuyck/Oettinger matchup.

Both are expected to play per The Score app.

I definitely think both teams treat this as a playoff warmup game before, depending on outcome, both potentially coasting a bit.  If the Stars don't win in regulation it all but sets the table for the playoffs (and pretty long shot regardles).  Believe I saw Deboer say at this point he cares more about the way the team plays than the outcome Thursday which makes sense.   We typically get beers between periods around michelob ultra area outside 103/104.  I might bring out my now dated Stankoven jersey tonight in case anyone is around there and spots it.

Coasting and half-assing it until the playoffs, where they will flame out before the finals.  But hey, Mill will get another GM of the year award that nobody gives a fuck about
