    What a game last night.  MSG lives up to the hype.  Fantastic venue.  10/10 experience.  Now on a flight back to Dallas to get ready to beat the Buckeyes.

Man this team gives up goals right after scoring, all the time.

I still can’t figure out how those penalties all worked out.

DAL: 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting

NYI: 5 for match penalty hit to head, 5 fighting

Calling an instigator penalty on a guy for fighting a dude who just knocked out his teammate with a hit to head that was so illegal he was ejected is certainly an interesting piece of logic.

The natural hat trick is one of those incredibly stupid things that make me love hockey.

Rule 63 – Delaying the Game 63.1 Delaying the Game – A player or a team may be penalized when, in the opinion of the Referee, is delaying the game in any manner. 63.2 Minor Penalty - A minor penalty for delay of game shall be imposed: (i) On any player, including the goalkeeper, who holds, freezes or plays the puck with his stick, skates or body in such a manner as to deliberately cause a stoppage of play. With regard to a goalkeeper, this rule applies outside of his goal crease area; (ii) On any player who deliberately shoots or bats (using his hand or his stick) the puck outside the playing area (from anywhere on the ice surface) during the play or after a stoppage of play; (iii) On any player who shoots or bats (using his hand or his stick) the puck directly (non-deflected) out of the playing surface from his defending zone, except where there is no glass.  The determining factor shall be the position of the puck when it was shot or batted by the offending player. If contact with the puck occurs while the puck is inside the defending zone, and subsequently goes out of play, the minor penalty shall be assessed.  When the puck is shot over the glass ‘behind’ the players’ bench, the penalty will be assessed;

It was quite a Sunday for the Robertson brothers. Especially in the second period.

Jason Robertson scored three times to help the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 win at the New York Islanders. Nicholas Robertson had two goals in the Toronto Maple Leafs' 5-2 win at the Chicago Blackhawks.

They are the first set of brothers to score multiple goals on the same day since Pavel and Valeri Bure on March 1, 2000.

The Robertsons scored each of their goals in the middle period.

"Yeah, it's exciting, and I think it's exciting for our parents," Nicholas Robertson said. "They got [two TVs] so they're jumping off the couch five times tonight. So, it's good to see him do well, and it's nice to have a good game, too."

an L was in our future, especially with our depleted D. Thinking Nill has some tinkering to do before next Friday

I missed the start of all three periods last night (walking dog, watching aggy baseball, etc), and I missed 3 Columbus goals.  That was shitty.

The last time I was on hockey skates was 1992, and it took 20 stitches to fix the self-inflicted damage, but I'm still checking my inbox for a notice that it's my turn to play defense for the Stars.

Robo, bitches.

Picked him on our group bet for first goal scored. Dude has been bringing it since the first of the year.
A home game?  That's allowed?

Haha. Had to catch up from that heavy home games month of December.
