Otter needed a game like last night.  All around great effort after what seemed like quite a few C+ / B- games in a row.

yeah, he said as much in the postgame interview. the skill is there, he just needs to stay out of his own head. he does that, we won't have to worry about him.

  • My 8 year old son got to be the "stick kid" at the game last night.  We went down outside locker room and he got to give the team fist bumps as they came out for warmups, watch warmups from down on th

What a game last night.  MSG lives up to the hype.  Fantastic venue.  10/10 experience.  Now on a flight back to Dallas to get ready to beat the Buckeyes.

At the end of whichever period they ended with a 4 on 3 pp for min, they worked the puck to his left and it was 1 v 1 with forward and otter. He was up, but understood the clock was running out and the 3 defenders had the other 3 wild, so he dropped down and brought arms in. He understood that it had to be a shot, and said take your best at getting around me. I liked seeing that. There was probably some room somewhere, and he dared him to find it instead of staying up and trying to react to the shot.

12 games left, 6 points behind. That’s tough, but we have a head to head in dallas next month (I’ll be there bitches) and need to win in regulation 100% that game.

Not afraid of playing those guys at their barn in the playoffs. Not sure why. But I feel good.

I won't make predictions, but for all of his obvious dominance in the regular season, Connor Hellebuyck has to prove he can win in the playoffs.

Well … let’s put this one to bed, guys

Heard Razor Boy this morning on with the Musers. It's been an adjustment to get used to his new time but I think I might like it better. I can't say he's wrong about calling the team 'spoon lickers' they know it's wrong, but it's so delicious and therefore hard to stop. They had a damn shutout going and then were dangerously close to getting a fucking tie.

I don't know if it's the end of the season grind resulting in coasting, but they keep winning so it's hard to bitch very much.

I suppose it's a goad for the coaches to use.

Well, it's opening day and then Calgary for the back half of the Alberta twofer.

So sports

Watched a few minutes of the 3rd and went to sleep 4-0.   Glad I didn't stay up as would have been awake another hour post-game probably with the way it appears to have played out.

Same.  Looked at the box score this morning at 6 and.......

So was I the only one who thought the Steel/Walman penalties should have been no penalty at all on either guy? Walman forced Steel into the goalie. Steel was trying to stop, but there was no way he was stopping with Walman riding him into the cage. But it didn't look to me like either player did anything illegal there. I don't know shit about fuck though.

Longhorn hockey sweater in Edmonton Alberta.

Yeah, pretty sweet.

I think it was because of the earlier accidental hit to skinner. They made sure they were matching, but wanted to stop any inclination to brawl.

Yeah I kinda thought something like that too. That's the only thing I could come up with that made any sense.

another 2 points up for grabs tonight against a team likely to play fairly desperately in Calgary, our most similar canadian cousins, as they sit agonizingly close to a playoff spot. Dustin Wolf should lowkey win the ROY/Calder. He'll be a goalie to watch the next few seasons. He did a lot of heavy lifting in fantasy for me this season as Saros stunk the place up (my first goalie pick). Anywho, with us being b2b, I kinda expect this to be close. Here's hoping we have the juice to get a regulation dub.

Didn’t hear ref, why disallowed?

Yea I was busy too at that moment. Not sure why disallowed. But the call was correct of course.
