Destroy Auburn and and are top 6-7 and get beat by 17 today.

Once he got settled in, he was pretty good. Running game was excellent. Wisner just needs to be the guy and Blue can spell him. The WRs and Gunnar really stepped up after Bond got hurt. Wingo will be a star. The defense was incredible. Tons of a great pressure, they got control of OU's running game. The turnovers created. I'm sure some in the media will just chalk it up to OU's offense being bad and it is but the defense dominated OU and made Hawkins show how much a freshman he is. I almost wished they had brought out Jackson Arnold just so we could have had some pick six opportunities. That was a very satisfying win in a series where we don't get too many of those kind of one-sided blowouts. Sark's now got 2 on his ledger. He should be 3-1 against OU if we didn't choke it away last year. I think we finally have the coach that gets this rivalry. He added some nice misdirection plays with Gunnar. Really nothing better than seeing the other half the Cotton Bowl start to empty out in the early 4th. I loved Sark calling the Flea Flicker TWICE with the last one being up 31 pts. AWESOME. Killer instinct

FFS! Duh

October 13, 20241 yr This game felt like in the old ncaa football 14 on xbox, one team would be getting their asses beat like 24-0 in the 2nd quarter, then the AI/cpu would start calling bullshit penalties on the team that was leading, just to get the team with 0 points back in the game

That was the most ridiculous bullshit I've ever seen haha, Dallas is the worst team in the original NBA Jam and the Rockets are the top ranked.

October 13, 20241 yr Popular Post A few thoughts on the game. First, there was no way I was going to visit the game thread during the game. That apparently ended up being my best decision of the day. Second, Texas played well but with some mistakes. And they basically shut down the offense in the second half to establish the run and run clock. This score could have been way way worse. No reason to worry about Quin at this point. He could have done a lot more damage to OU if Sark had kept the pedal down, but he’s thinking about Georgia next week. Smart. As for OU, wtf? They chase away a guy who’s now leading Oregon to probably the B1G title. They replace him with a guy we all knew wasn’t a five star QB. But they treated him like one. Then, rather than develop him, they toss him aside for a true freshman that is nowhere near ready to play. This Texas defense was great, but that OU offense is a disaster. Georgia will be a much better gauge of the quality of the D. Overall, that went just like it needed to go. Bring on Georgia.
October 13, 20241 yr Popular Post I loved seeing Danny Stutsman turn into a glorified Breckyn Hager today 😂
October 13, 20241 yr Popular Post I think what I'm most excited about is after the slow start where OU lived in the backfield, Sark adjusted to quick throws and misdirections. That softened their rush and we owned the game after that. You can study film all you want but Sark will adjust.

October 13, 20241 yr This was great, because it showed how lost OU is right now. Who is their QB next year? Hawkins? Someone else? Who is their OC next year? What offensive scheme? Do they have the personnel for the desired scheme and OC? Who is their HC in two years? There may be answers to these questions, but they won’t be easy, and they’re killers if they get them wrong.
October 13, 20241 yr On Texas Football reporting that Arnold has informed OU that he isn’t playing again this year in order to redshirt and then transfer. Seems odd to me that he still dresses for games if that is true. I wanna say I say that the other day as well. But during the broadcast, they showed him and talked about how engaged he’s been.
