December 26, 2024Dec 26 Just reported as a left calf strain. So was KD’s until his popped in the finals. Yeah, gonna need to monitor for sure… give him rest we’ll be fine without him for a spell.
December 28, 2024Dec 28 This was after Nurkic’s second offensive foul. He was posting up and then lead with his elbow to Gafford’s face.
December 28, 2024Dec 28 Why the hell was PJ ejected? That was some soft shit from Nurkic. Went down like a bitch.
December 29, 2024Dec 29 Nice to see them fight back… that was a pretty good sized gap they closed. Was just falling too easy for PDX in the first three quarters, and it’s hard to beat a team when they’re shooting their season high % from the floor.
December 29, 2024Dec 29 Author Our perimeter defense is so bad. We need a lock down guy who can guard 1 through 4 and prevent them from driving. Last week I thought a 1 plus maxi and omax for herb Jones might be too much but I'm coming round to it.
January 7Jan 7 17 fouls and 29 FT's shot by the Grizzlies so far. ridiculous. Mavs have shot 9. Edited January 7Jan 7 by dcar00
January 7Jan 7 Author A bulging disc is going to be more than two weeks. He might try to play after two weeks but he's not going to be anywhere near 100%. I'd be very surprised if he even tries to play after two weeks.
January 8Jan 8 Strong bounceback last night. Good to finally snap the streak and against a team we are battling for a higher seed with. Terrible loss for the Lakers.
January 10Jan 10 Yo this team learning to win WITHOUT LuKai is gonna spell danger for the rest of the west. I was listening to a podcast this morning that said the the Mavs were still their biggest threat in the West no matter where they finish in the standings. They can create good shots in the half court as good as anyone, and that's without Luka and Kai. That teams like Memphis and the Rockets are really good but still have no reliable half court offense, and that's what will cap them come playoff time.
January 16Jan 16 Video evidence would seem Dallas has a good chance to win an appeal over the no caller goal tend in last nights loss. But knowing history, probably unlikely.

January 16Jan 16 Author I'd be shocked if the office overturned the result and gave us two points. Jason Kidd and his use of Dinwiddie and Klay in the Luka and Ky roles at the end of the game was terrible. I understand Dinwiddie's role is Luka-lite, but we had a huge mismatch in Gafford and whoever was trying to guard him and we didn't go to him once the last quarter. Half of our final possessions in the game can't be Dinwiddie dribbling the ball and hoisting bad shots. Naji was slicing and dicing all game, let him initiate and find something. I almost lost it when the inbound play out of the timeout was to Klay up top in iso. I used to think Kidd spent the entire timeout doing something else other than drawing up an inbound play for Luka and Luka defaulted to that play, but it's pretty clear now Kidd spends the timeout drawing that play up. I'm so aggravated. We shouldn't have lost that game.
January 20Jan 20 Uh, got a notification of Gafford playing well in the 3rd, why is there a game on?I wish we knew
January 20Jan 20 Damn, didn't realize day game either. Why are we trading Gafford?? 4th quarter Kyrie. Edited January 20Jan 20 by CBT
January 20Jan 20 Author We had so many out today with injuries. Along with Luka and lively- Grimes (back spasms.... What are you 40?), hardy, Powell.
January 22Jan 22 Season from Hell keeps going. Really reminds me of 2022-23 when they just couldn't get healthy, plus the other factors like a big time trade late. Might just chalk it up and do what you can this year, maybe even tank a bit, since we own our pick.
January 22Jan 22 In theory, they could still get the gang back together for a playoff run, but yes, kiss a top 4 seed goodbye.

January 22Jan 22 Author Grimes is on a one year deal. We need to be featuring him in trade talks since he turned down that extension.

Omax is already showing signs of being usable. 4 minutes ago, gsoda3 said: Grimes is on a one year deal. We need to be featuring him in trade talks since he turned down that extension. Agreed. We can't have a DJJ/Brunson situation again where they play themselves into a bigger deal than we can stomach or match. 3 minutes ago, threesheets said:
January 23Jan 23 They're too good to Tank...and luka will drag them to the playoff when he gets healthy. So they just need to play it out. Maybe add another big to get them there...they still need a good wing defender. But i'd like to keep this years Draft pick...might be the worst they are for a while.
January 24Jan 24 I can't speak to hockey as I'm only a casual observer, but f's sake I wish injuries would stop detailing Dallas pro franchises. And, lulz, at 3 of OKC's 8 losses 🫴 coming from the Mavs. Edited January 24Jan 24 by Knoxtnhorn
January 24Jan 24 Mavs are in their heads...all there is to it. They matchup so well. And add in they don't have any rim protection. It could change in an instant though...the Suns owned the Mavs too until the playoff series when they got them in 7.
