October 20, 20241 yr Popular Post I have nothing bad to say about Vandy. They are a fine institution of higher learning, with smart students and fans that live in the best travel city (non Austin) division in the conference. They are, I believe, the only SEC school with a winning record against us (something like 4-1 from 100 years ago) so by the end of this decade the hope would be we wipe that away while enjoying some fun trips to NashVegas to win what should be a gimme of a game. the small private school factor that annoys with Vandy is their baseball fans obnoxiously whistle. Contrast that with Baylor- where the irritation is an admin covering up systematic rape in the school. Advantage Vandy. Yesterday sucked. All that said all our goals are still in front of us. Get up off the canvas and win out and we are going to really like where we are at. Hook ‘Em. Edited October 20, 20241 yr by Wulaw Horn

October 20, 20241 yr Get to travel to Nashville, should be an exciting time for the kids and the fans
October 20, 20241 yr I just hope for once Texas plays pissed off. If they don't take Vandy seriously it's going to be a long afternoon so I hope this team finally develops a chip on their shoulder.
October 20, 20241 yr Assuming Quinn isn’t physically broken beyond repair….we’ll find out if Sark is the QB Whisperer we think and hope he is. Our season and Quinn’s future depend on it.
October 20, 20241 yr I hate Vanderbilt for what happened in 1928. But the age of silent movies and prohibition are over Vandy! It is our time to dominate. My great-grandfather, who never even went to college and as far as I know was only a baseball fan, will nonetheless be avenged. He was alive and in the area at the time.
October 20, 20241 yr We been SEC-grinded. No hope. Aggies will pulverise all that remains. Please, Vandy, be kind in thy wrath! I expect a bloodbath. Burnt Orange Rage.
October 20, 20241 yr Vandy doesn't score a lot of points, and Sark will want redemption for the offense. I don't think this will be a complete ass whipping, but something like 31-10 because we packed it in after 3 quarters sounds about right.
October 20, 20241 yr Vandy's going to try to slow the game down and hold onto the ball. The option is always dicey to play against since few teams run it. We need to figure out how to run the ball consistently since Quinn is still dicey with his decisions and pocket presence. I think this will be a lot closer than we would like. Ultimately, our defense will carry us through.

October 20, 20241 yr - Will be good for team to go on the road after the spectacle/hype all of last week. - If healthy, it would be nice to give Jerrick Gibson some meaningful carries. We need more thunder out of RB room. - I expect the OL to bounce back big time - Re: Quinn...get busy living or get busy dying. Open things up and throw the ball downfield. Cant win a championship without connecting on deep balls.
October 20, 20241 yr parcells the rest of the way looking forward to hear what sark says in the presser tomorrow morning quite miserable today
October 20, 20241 yr While the loss to GA certainly stings as the offense was completely exposed, I do think that this is a game Texas wins running away. Texas is always at its worse when it has been sniffing own farts and all of the clingers on come out of woodwork. Seeing folks like Joe Rogan on sideline last night who have zero association with UT highlights this "celebrity culture" that always seems to fuck this program up in past. I am flying out for Vandy game and I think we will see an angry, hungry, pissed off Longhorn team look to put a beatdown on Vandy. Get back to "Texas vs Everybody" mindset
October 20, 20241 yr Do we have a running back? Winser got hurt after the targeting, Gibson appears to be a missing person. Blue didn’t have a carry last night.
October 20, 20241 yr It will if Quinn gets off to another slow start. It's a damn delicate balance with him going forward.

October 20, 20241 yr Better take all the frustration out on them and play lights out. Idgaf about the score, just win! Diego Pavia is good at taking off and can create some trouble running. Gotta keep a spy on him at all times.

October 20, 20241 yr Nashville is a great $$$ weekend. Just ask Bama fans. Better come to MFng play! Not the circle on the schedule that we’d have hoped.Hook’em!!!

October 20, 20241 yr Just now, The Ace of Aces said: But no touches as a RB from the backfield. True - I get what you're saying. Just making the point that he was on the field and productive. He shouldn't have any issues taking some carries against Vandy. What happens with the football after that is in God's hands.

October 20, 20241 yr Spy Pavia from down one and double his NMST buddy, that big ass tight end. And beware the shovel pass. Go gorth, sin no more, have a blast! Hook ‘em.
October 20, 20241 yr 24 minutes ago, TonyTexas said: Line opens at Texas -19.5 That seems 10 points high. Geez. Vandy is a good team - better than anyone we’ve faced minus Georgia.

They beat Ball State by 10 points yesterday. Not sure how Bama being a shitshow concerns us. Michigan and OU computer ratings-wise are both firmly ahead of Vandy on the season.
October 21, 20241 yr Vanderbilt in the top 25 for the first time since 2013. I’m sure they will come out not wanting to drop right out. I think this also could be closer than we think.
