It is likely deeper than just simple alignment tells.  A good D-coordinator through enough study tries to manipulate the play-call to their advantage by knowing the audible tendencies of an opponent.  They show a defensive look, Quinn receives the play-call and adjusts right into what the defense wants him to do because we’ve hurt teams with the same adjustment in previous games.  That was likely happening quite a bit last Saturday.

In the midst of some post-Georgia clip, I heard a UGa player say that they had studied our tells and basically knew where every call was going.

Kirby wouldn't pass that along to Lea, would he?

Not surprised, I commented this exact possibility the morning after the game. It didn’t make sense how their defense was so much better against us, run or pass, than anything they’d shown all year.

Or, who knows, maybe someone's headset comms lines or frequencies got crossed when they were fucking with them at the start of the game, when Kirby complained about them?

My thoughts are we need to win convincingly by 21+ and Quinn needs to look like he did pre-injury or there's going to be an epic meltdown both inside my head and on this site.

I have an Ivan Aivazovsky print on my wall, so this post hits close to home

Last Friday night, I got an inexplicable bad feeling.   That did not happen last night.

It's rainy here in Nashville this morning, but it will clear up by game time.

Also need to score more points than the other team.

Vandy is 78th in EPA per dropback defense and 99th in pass defense success rate. One of their starting corners got banged up in practice this week and is going to play but isn't 100 percent. Even without Bond, Ewers HAS to cook these dudes today. I think it's a good time for a Ryan Wingo breakout game.

Ryan Wingo and Matthew Golden to the white courtesy phone please!

Anything unusual about the turf at vandy (assuming not grass)

I've got a feeling... this is the game either Johntay or Silas Bolden get hot and put up numbers.

And those numbers may come mostly in the second half and from Arch. I really don't have any confidence the Ewers we saw is completely revamping his throwing mechanics, footwork mechanics, and willingness to step up into the pocket and take one on the chin all in 7 days. I'll always be grateful to the guy for clowning the big 12 on our way out... but, what we saw last week was so horrifically bad, from a technique and willingness standpoint, I don't see how anyone turns that around that quickly.

Will be amazing if he does and can sustain it the rest of the season.

If Vandy runs a single successful shovel pass, assuming Sark & Co. saw the Alabama game tape, I shall be severely disappointed in all of you.

Johntay will need to actually get on the field for that to happen.

I have a feeling Quinn is going to have a career day today. All week he heard how much he sucks. If he has any competitive bone in him, he will give all he has got in the tank. I sure hope so.

Texags grade cope. Impressive.

lol it's a road conference game against a 5-2 opponent that's already beaten Alabama. Texas just needs to win the game. I think they'll do so pretty comfortably even if unspectacularly, but they just need to win. Bye week, Florida scrimmage, and another week of practice to sort out any hypothetically festering QB issue before Arkansas.

What's impressive is falling into the Sarchasm head-first while calling Texas "they".

You think he's gonna learn a lot about livin and a little bout love?

We must win convincingly today after last week's debacle in order to justify our top 5 ranking - Captain Obvious

Vandy will be fired up for sure. Can they knock off two top 5's at home? If so, Vandy to top 5.

Quinn just needs to step up into the goddam pocket. He did suck last week, so I hope you're right.

I am trying to be positive before the game. Yes he sucked last week along with the whole offense, and I don't know if he will turn it around today. Let's hope he does or Sark makes the change and let Arch develop.

My b then. Can never assume on this board lol

I need my boner back.

let’s stomp these fucks.

I need 21-0 by like the 4 min mark.

Vanderbilt's DL doesn't have anywhere near the level of talent that Georgia's does, so I'm not concerned about the offense today. I can see Vanderbilt's QB potentially giving the defense some fits, but we should still win comfortably.

Free money. This is going to be a dogfight. Vandy is gonna come out looking for blood.

Did Wingo just get injured running into a fucking staffer

Very interested to see if Barron plays some safety. If he does, and plays well, that bodes well for the rest of the year given all the injuries at safety. And it would help his draft stock as well.

9 years out of 10, Vandy is the asshole  of The SEC.  Leave it to us to draw them on the road the one year they hit the lottery.  Still, after last week The Horns need to make a statement here today

I have a feeling Quinn is going to have a career day today. All week he heard how much he sucks..

Well if he reads here he sure did.

I used to hear close sec games showed the strength of the conference now I hear if Texas doesn’t win these games 77-0 then we suck.

Well for everyone in Texas the last 2 months, the turf just being wet would be pretty fucking unusual. I hope we haven’t forgotten to how to play in non desert environments

Dude.

The offense is the only concern.

Our defense is our strength. Our shitty offense put them in short field positions multiple times. I’m not worried about the defense at all.

Pics of wife/grlfriend?

Hope Pavia has a good game. He has a great story and I love seeing homies succeed in football at the next level. Hoping for a 42-21 type win where he puts up decent stats in a loss. But I don’t want him to do so good that the game is ever in question.
