  • We fucking did it.  Fuck yes.  What a comeback.  What grit.  Demons exercised.  Fucking hell mother fucking yes.  Fuck yes.   We fucking did it.

  • LOL, how do you manage to consistently be so wrong?  Pitcher sprints for the bag regardless of who is batting.  Cole should have been going to the bag and Rizzo should have charged the ball more, both

  • Just to pile on helo - when i skimmed his slew of "i quit" and "this series is over" posts after game one, I was not aware he titled his 2024 Yankees thread, "Never Surrender."

If the Dodgers lose this series then they will have just shit down their legs once again.  Which wouldn't shock me, but they should destroy the Yankees in 4 or 5.

With our starting pitching, can’t say I agree it’s one sided.  This seems pretty even up.

Its like 7 hitters to 3.

Just don't go full Dave Roberts

I’ve been critical of Roberts in the past, but I do think he’s done a great job during these playoffs managing the staff with spit and glue.

Fuck Evan Phillips off the WS roster with arm injury.  He hasn’t been scored upon in the playoffs.  But Vesia and Brusdar are back.  Not sure how effective Graterol will be having not pitched in ages.  Kiermaier also left off.

Would like to see Ohtani finally win it. Too bad he couldn't bring Mike Trout with him.

Last night I had a dream the Yankees won tonight. I’m feeling good

Know what you mean, I dreamt that I was watching Oscar Meyer grind horse dicks into hot dogs. Despite the nightmare I woke up rested.

Can't see anything but this when I see Mr. dip shit.

Torres/Volpe > Lux/Edman in postseason hitting so far. And the Yankees just finished dismantling the best bullpen in baseball.

Quote from a good friend of mine: "This World Series is like Hitler vs Saddam Hussein"

can't decide which team is which....

The Valenzuelas prob should hit a treadmill and work in a salad or they will prob be joining pops soon

I think the Dodgers are going to be very careful with Soto and attack Judge all series.

Whew.  Thought Tommy’s error might have cost us.  This ump is calling shit way in/outside.

Get used to complaining about the zone

did y’all hear that? cole hasn’t k’d a right handed hitter in 43 ab’s? that’s insane.

Only 4 years, $144M left to go

imo yankees should be favored due to starting pitching, but it’s close. i like the dodgers lineup better, and i could see the yankees hitter having too many k’s. should be a 6 or 7 game series.

He's getting hit pretty hard.

Not in front of TV. The dodgers must’ve scored a ton of runs that inning then, right?

I had a dream about the '23 playoffs. Of time gone by - when life was worth living.

Vertigo was one of those untradeable guys for the Dodgers for a few years, until the Red Sox agreed to trade Mookie for him and a few throw ins.  We did have to take on Price’s deal, but we got some decent innings out of him.  I’d make that trade 100 times out of 100.

Got one there.

Is that a MAGAt hat right behind home plate?  She won’t be particularly popular there.

This home plate umpire is terrible. What the hell MLB

And now he’s K’d 2 since they mentioned it.

I haven’t watched baseball in a while but is it now normal to dance after you get a flukey base hit like that Dodgers dude did?  That used to be a guaranteed beanball the next time up.

Nice play.  If that was Dave Concepcion in Riverfront he would have had him.

Pretty much.  I wouldn't say that was fluky though.

Yes. Footballification of the sport.

I didn't watch a whole lot of Yankees regular season.  How the hell did Judge hit .322?  He has the same holes in his swing as always.

Flaherty dealing.  If we can get 5 ( or more?) out of him, I like our chances.

They weren’t there in the regular season. He wasn’t flailing his hips open on his swing, etc. October came and he’s back to 2016 form. It’s clear he’s not made for the moment and needs to get benched. He’s fucking terrible and just a liability at this point. I could go up there and have more competitive at bats, seriously. Fuck.

You are delightful.

Did anyone see Ohtani strikeout right now? Or we only notice when Judge does it?

Cole dealing.  Need to get his pitch count up.

Can’t say I ever remember that happening.

For anyone bitching about this series or saying it's bad for baseball - I've been staying with my granddad for a couple months now who is in increasingly poor health. Talking to him can be frustrating because he's always in a shitty mood and bitching about the same shit over and over again. Obviously it isn't all his fault but it's still an ass-whipping at times.

The World Series being on and being between two familiar teams - to him at least - is an easy conversation piece and gives him a nice distraction. He's at most "himself" these days when telling stories - his long-term memory is still very sharp for his age - it's just the day-to-day and short-term stuff where he's really slipping.

I don't have a strong pull for either of these teams and don't hate that they're in the WS. I know a lot of people do - but I think it's important to remember that stuff like this means a lot to a whole lot of people in this country.

Not preaching or anything - I'm plenty cynical and jaded at times - just wanted to share a little anecdote of a way in which this is a fairly big deal for baseball and to a lesser extent America. I mean it's fucking LA vs. New York and the flagship team of both. No matter what sport that doesn't happen often.

Damn, let him keep going.  Only 68 pitches

It’s only the Astros fans that’re bitching. The series is a hot topic on basically every social media platform currently
