Watching this with my son tonight. Other than explaining that Pedro was the greatest the other thing I've told him is it's strange being the old guy. I'm rewatching something I watched as it happened. He's learning about baseball history from before he was born.

i graduated high school the year of the comeback. i’ll be 40 later this month. i swear 20 years hasn’t already gone by. it’s crazy.

another note- most of those guys (save schilling) have aged really well. papi, pedro, millar, varitek- a lot of these guys look really good for guys who were pro athletes 20-25 years ago, and during the steroid era no less. schilling looks old enough to be some of their dads.

  • We fucking did it.  Fuck yes.  What a comeback.  What grit.  Demons exercised.  Fucking hell mother fucking yes.  Fuck yes.   We fucking did it.

  • LOL, how do you manage to consistently be so wrong?  Pitcher sprints for the bag regardless of who is batting.  Cole should have been going to the bag and Rizzo should have charged the ball more, both

  • Just to pile on helo - when i skimmed his slew of "i quit" and "this series is over" posts after game one, I was not aware he titled his 2024 Yankees thread, "Never Surrender."

No, watched it.

one thing I would like to say is fuck anyone who thinks 2020 was a tainted championship.  We played by the same rules as everyone FOUR rounds of playoffs despite being on a 116 win pace.  And we didn't get the benefit of a bunch of home games that we would’ve gotten.  That may have been a harder championship than any other.  And we could e played a thousand game season and we would’ve won the regular season.

Schilling looks like Richard Lewis on the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Funny to see Cole now want more money from the Yanks to not cover first base.
