  • We fucking did it.  Fuck yes.  What a comeback.  What grit.  Demons exercised.  Fucking hell mother fucking yes.  Fuck yes.   We fucking did it.

  • LOL, how do you manage to consistently be so wrong?  Pitcher sprints for the bag regardless of who is batting.  Cole should have been going to the bag and Rizzo should have charged the ball more, both

  • Just to pile on helo - when i skimmed his slew of "i quit" and "this series is over" posts after game one, I was not aware he titled his 2024 Yankees thread, "Never Surrender."

That's just, wow.

Trojan at the helm of the Yanks.  Bruin at the helm of the Dodgers.  Bruin wins.

Love that the walk off music is “I Love LA” from Randy Newman, which was famously used in The Naked Gun.

I’m not watching anymore of this series, I have better things to do with my time. I already got more than I thought I would out of this season anyway. We were never winning this with Boone at the helm and a failure like Judge in the lineup, at the end of the day he’s really accomplished fucking nothing in his life. I do feel for Giancarlo though, he deserved better

Couldn’t even win an MVP in ‘17.

Must be nice to have 3 mvp’s in a row in a lineup….

damn that was fun.

$1,000,000 you're back here posting tomorrow during the game. This reverse psychology shit is annoying, even for your standards.

Boone made the right call walking Betts. I derped the runners moving to second and third on the Verdugo play.

Incredible ending.

I don’t know why you keep saying this, I post my beliefs and have for years. “Reverse psychology” isn’t a real thing. And since when do you post on the baseball board?

I’ll buy that it’s fireworks since it’s OC but they’re poppin glocks in most other LA locations.

I hate both teams and was actually pulling for the Yankees just because my dad grew up in the Bronx. But I’m kind of pulling for the dodgers after remembering what a dipshit helobious is

And man, burning all those bullpen arms for nothing would’ve been tragic.  All worth it.

Cole/Holmes/Kahnle/Weaver 9 IP and 1 ER

and they lose 6-3

lulz

good luck, Boone, getting your clubhouse re-focused in less than 24 hours

I truly can’t believe he brought in Cortes to face the best hitters in baseball. He hasn’t pitched in a month and he throws all of 93 MPH. The correct move there was Hill. Boone handed that fucking game and therefore the series to the dodgers.

You’re almost a caricature.  Dodgers went down 0-2 in NY in ‘81 and went on to win 4 straight.  The series is over after one game?  This almost seems like a bit.

It's almost better than a game thread on the football board.

Almost.

Dude quit trying to down play it. You have the better team by far. Like i said earlier as a fan who fucking hates both of your stupid ass teams the Dodgers should lose 1 game at most.
#342

It's true. No team has ever lost game 1 of the World Series and managed to win. Might as well give up now.

People acted like I was joking or sandbagging about the David vs Goliath analogy. On paper the teams aren’t even close, biggest thing being the depth of the lineups and bullpens. The Yankees had a small edge on starters but that’s it and isn’t as relevant in this day and age. Series was over before the first pitch.

#344

Oh and I wasn’t watching live but watched the clip after I checked on the final score and I watched without sound, so what I heard in my head was Jack buck saying “I don’t believe what I just saw”

Dude shut up you were trying to go against my post like 5 hours ago. Your shit is whack

Judge, Stanton and Soto are David huh.

Why did you even watch game 1, having known for sure that the Yankees weren’t in it since the end of alcs game 3?
