Apple and other streaming platforms are missing out by not offering a no-election ad option for $10.

For AI and/ or all of the listening devices like Alexa, Facebook, and my Kroger Ap:  Once I vote, I shouldn't get any more political ads.  Y'all want to help us as a society, there's your mission.

The campaigns would actually agree with you 100%. The last thing they want to do is pay for targeting an ad to someone who has already voted. Waste of their resources. It's the tech and ad industry that is dragging their feet.

EDIT: Makes me wonder if you mark that you've voted on Facebook, does that remove the ads? And actually this could work out well for Facebook as well. It makes targeted ads to the unvoted much more valuable. But then again it might be one of the demographic components that cannot be used in ad targeting.

We voted yesterday in Hamilton Park.  for those not familiar, Hamilton Park was Dallas's first planned black community.  it was created because houses owned by blacks in South Dallas were bombed in 1950 and a black neighborhood was torn down in 1953 so Love Field could expand.  so this neighborhood was created in North Dallas. suffice it to say, it's still a predominantly black and Democratic neighborhood.

i voted while my wife held the baby, then we switched 10 minutes later after i was done.  pretty quick process.  well, she got in line in front of an older white couple who were clearly Trumpers.  the wife turned to the husband and whispered, "Make sure you double check your ballot before you submit it." the husband hurriedly shushed her knowing where they were and knowing that she was probably going to start spewing more Fox News talking points. my wife just started laughing.  i would have said something.

anyway, two votes for Kamala and more importantly, two votes for Allred.

Can you imagine? Early voting would be insane if turning in your vote insulated you from all campaign ads.

what's going on? the randalls off gatti's is actually closer to me but heard the old settlers location has a lot more booths and moves faster

Sat down and voted with my oldest last night, then dropped it off at the drop station over lunch.  It's Colorado, so no lines, just informed voter efficiency.

I've voted at Randall's and BACA, but it was my first presidential election here. I was nervous seeing the line extending outside, but once through the doors you were basically at the check-in desk.

  • Popular Post

Done. Walked in and voted electronically and walked out. Took 5 minutes max. Still not crazy about the Maryland flag.

When I checked the wait times online Wed afternoon (just before 5p), Randall's and Old Settlers were 45+ min. Brushy Creek MUD was an extra 10 min drive for us but only took about about 15 min total there.

Checking the map just now and appears that Randall's wait time is the only Wilco location in the red.

Done. 40 minute wait at Brushy Creek Community Center.

They ran out of stickers. ☹️

Voted on Brodie in south Austin.  One hour from start to finish.  For once, instead of just saying I voted all blue, I get to say I voted all blue and Allred!

Wish we got cool stickers like the blue states have been giving, but I voted!  Yo Voté!

yup, the 3 sites in RR east of 35 have consistently been red, but the one off old settlers has a ton of booths so it goes faster

Well, they handed me one sticker as I left.  They handed my wife 4 stickers.  Now my kids are walking around with stickers declaring they voted.  I am sure Congress will investigate this and we will be lambasted on Fox News for the next 3 years if Harris wins.

I voted by mail and mailed my ballot today. All Dem, and voted Yes on Prop 1 and No on all of Mayor Adams' city props.

Fuck Trump, Fuck Vance, and Fuck Adams.

I voted. No wait up at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, super quick and easy. Got my sticker, and happy to pull the lever for all Dems possible. Fuck vouchers, fuck killing immigrants at the border, and fuck Trumplicans. Hoping for a blue wave in 2 weeks.

working thru my CO ballot now, one of those states that sends you entire books of non-partisan explanation, analysis, fiscal impact, for and against arguments, etc etc... you know, a state that wants its voters thoroughly educated and informed. just like Texas! 🤣🤣🤣

anyway lol...walking the walk, this ballot measure proposes an additional tax on firearms, ammo, etc., to fund victim services, school safety programs, and mental health services.

Yeah, when we moved to Colorado and voted in 2016, I was like, "Whoa, this is... possible?"  Colorado should be the model, imo.

His opinion is Trump is a piece of shit, sorry if that hurts your feelings.

Your “opinion” inspired you to vote for a guy that started an insurrection to overturn an election that he lost, and now plans to pardon the criminals involved in that insurrection and use the American military to go after his own enemies. A guy who said “Hitler did a lot of good things.” A guy who has been convicted of sexual assault. A guy who might very well destroy our democracy.

So um, no, we aren’t very tolerant of that “opinion”.

Let me clear something up. I’m expressing my opinion. I tolerate plenty of Trump supporters including family members. That doesn’t mean I’m not entitled to my own opinions about Trump. So while I’m expressing my opinion, let me express another one. You are a crybaby snowflake and as your party is known to say, fuck your feelings.

MAGAts hate differing opinions as much as anyone.   They just wish cast it away by saying TDS.   Say ANYTHING bad about the orange buffoon and TDS.   Quote his actual words, TDS.  Maddening

That's where I voted, also.  Somewhat gratifying to see the aunties and grandmamas, mostly, doing serious patriotic duty by administering an election from which they were excluded in the past.

And "first planned black community" is perhaps not as benign as it sounds. It does kind of carry out a separate-but-equal type of philosophy and, according to The Accomodation, black clergy in south Dallas was likely complicit in the firebombings in order to create a crisis.  Finally, at the time of its creation, Hamilton Park was in the middle of nowhere, and more desirable alternative projects were kiboshed by Dallas elite.

Crybaby snowflake is a bit of a leap, but I would be more than happy to have a beer and converse over our opinions. That is the kind of shit America was built for.

An additional thing is that Dallas schools were segregated at the time and for many years after, so it made some "fiscal" sense to maintain fewer "plessy" schools.

At least they were trying to do something to make life easier and better for Dallas' black citizens.  But it was also a giant cop out that delayed addressing the real problems.  It is amazing that they didn't stick it somewhere in south Dallas, where it could be ignored more easily, although they did try to stick em in a river bottom.https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/hamilton-park-tx
