  • Rewatching the game now.  -I know it infuriates @BurntOrange&White but Michael Taaffe is going to play in the NFL. -We probably lost about 50 rushing yards due to stupid holding penaltie

  • That hold on Helm was bogus.

  • Say what you will about yesterday's win. But that was the fourth road win in a row against ranked teams. Hook "em baby.

It’s frustrating that this Texas team isn’t what we hoped it was, but between last week and today, we can confirm that this isn’t a championship team. From this point forward we can how to see improvement and how far we can go. Maybe they’ll surprise us.

Georgia and Oregon are clearly the two best teams in the country right now.

People are correct that Ewers has not looked great the last few weeks. But I'm not sure why he's being singled out. The entire offense has looked like shit with the possible exception of Wisner, Helm, and the small amount of Blue this week. QB, OL, WR, coaching. It's all been ass.

Wisner has regressed also

13 points after the 1st qtr against Vandy WITH our defense playing pretty well.  Not good, Bob.

This offense is so explosive it should be rated PG13. There was a point in the second quarter when my 5 year old walked in and I yelled , ‘no, close your eyes! This offense is too explosive for you!’

WR need to be more physical off the line and block better.

We won pussies. Consider the alternative.

No one's upset that we won.  But I think many of us were hoping that after getting our asses handed to us last week that we would look better.

But they lit up one team!! 😩😩

Arkansas has played 3 good defenses.

In those games they've scored 17 points, 19 points, and 10 points. Their OL is pretty bad. I don't see a shootout at all. If we lose it will be the variety of Ewers turning the ball over 2 or 3 times.

3-1.  Lose a shootout to Arkansas.

we are not losing to Aggy. Most of us will commit sepeku if so.

Fuckin WhalElko is salivating about playing this weak ass offensive line. ATM will destroy this team in its current state unfortunately

Not sure about that. I don't think he's as good as he looked at first. Now there's tape on him, I think he's still playing at a good level for him.

How much do you want to bet that we don’t lose to Arkansas, Kentucky, and aggy? I’ll give you 10:1 but you have to bet at least $100.

Put your money where your mouth is, chickenshit pussy.

Not the cathartic asswhipping I was hoping for after an angry week.

I think that has more to do with what the OL makes available. Sometimes it just isn't there. But on balance, he played well this game.

… hadn’t really thought of it. 🤔

I love a good story, but not at the expense of my Horns.  Pavia's prancing around after the 1st TD + the nonstop dicksucking by the announcers was pretty off putting.  Glad our D came to play.

Aren't you the guy who announced we are losing to basically every team left on our schedule? Weird to be calling everybody else a pussy.

The thing is the QB has to distribute the ball to people.

If the QB is not up to the challenge of doing so for all four quarters I don’t know what to tell people.

sark’s head seems to be up his ass. Like he felt incredulous we eeked out a win.

penalties are serious issue

punting sucks

oline has issues.

nothing seems to have been fixed.

proud of the effort and the team and D is doing a lot to pick up the slack. Even if they have flaws.

Convinced Sark will legit let Ewers throw a game away in the future.

not sure what version of Ewers this is. and I like that kid. Damn.

Fair. I’d like to keep blue getting touches though. And where the hell has Gibson been?

Damn right, he took what was there and protected the ball

The Gibson thing baffles me.

Did they have a single holding called?

The D looked pretty good. I'll give them an A-. The O? An overall C. QB - C.

Fuck those lateral passes

Talk to Sark about that one. He’s decided it’s the foundation of our offense.

No sense in repeating the obvious.  Quinn has show little to zero improvement year to year. Game to game.  Last year he ran a few times surprising everyone. He’s so afraid to do anything right now. Yeah the o line sucks but sometimes he’s holding that ball 4 plus seconds and won’t step into a pocket he just clutches the ball like a purse and falls down with that and every pass being under 8 yards defenses are compressing the space because there’s no deep shot and no scramble worry even Connor fucking weigman has shown a little improvement

Yeah I don't know what Sark's deal is. He seemed like he had all systems go and then all the sudden it seems to be getting away from him and he seems out of touch.

We lost a tough game and then nearly pissed one away. I hope that at the end of the season we look back and think this was the wake up call we needed that set us up for success later.

1 minute ago, Biff Tannen said:

Blue had to get out of the doghouse for not protecting the ball. He got a lot of play this game, so he's getting his opportunities. Gibson is a liability in protection. Blue and Wisner are too, to a degree. Not surprised Gibson didn't really get a chance with Ewers still not confident under pressure. Caveat is though, he's pretty damn good running inside, which could help balance the game. But more predictable as a result.

That's what gets me.  We have, what, 3-4 future NFL players on the Oline, but can't block AND there's multiple holding calls.  On the other side, our D line is pretty good, playing against an average to below average line, but not one holding call that I remember.

We will find out more about aggy tonight.

They've played absolutely nobody other than ND. Missouri looks like one of the biggest frauds in the country.

i don't think so at all.

Sark's offense seems just predictive and the QB position lacks brains and composure.

RBs, TEs, and WRs all looked great to me today

12 minutes ago, Leanderman said:

THIS. They missed a lot of those. Plus a facemask on Wingo and the very obvious PI where the DB had his arms around Wingo's neck. I'm sure there's more

Good observation. The TEs and WRs were awesome, but the guy throwing them the ball sucks ass. You should coach

I'm not sure we wouldn't have been in a dogfight against OU if they hadn't fumbled 3 times inside their own 50 in the 2nd qtr.  Would have been 7-3 at half (hypothetically) w/o those fumbles.  If the defense was average to below average, these threads would be entirely different.

I don't think any of the calls were wrong, but there sure were a lot of calls against Texas on key plays.

Survive and advance.

If the players don’t tighten up, unfortunate things will follow.  I only wish my Bama prima donnas had tightened up enough after failing to blow the UGA game to play well enough to beat Vandy.  Lea, Kill, et al. are good coaches and Vandy plays like a well-coached team.

It was obvious the SEC wanted a narrative with this game.   They almost had it.    The SEC  Network announcers slobbering all over Vandy.   The disparity in the penalties and timing is what makes me put on the tin foil hat too.   That’s not to say with Ewers two turnovers on their side of the field we did our best to helo.
