In early vote from big Texas counties, Ted Cruz looks to be underperforming Donald Trump by about 4 points. In Tarrant County (Fort Worth), for example, Trump is up 6 points and Cruz 2.

Kaufman County early votes are in. Trump won it 66/32 and he's winning it 64/34 right now. 4 point swing towards Democrats for the county that saw the nation's largest blue swing from 2016 to 2020.

Dallas County was 64/33 Biden in 2020. It is currently 60/37 Harris which is an 8 point swift towards Republicans.

Cobb County just dropped, 59% reporting Harris leading 58%, Biden won with 56%

She's pushing the biggest counties left.  Him winning a bunch of rural bumfuck counties by a few more points isn't going to make up for the net in votes she will get from the big counties.

Good lord, GA is not lost.  ATL+burbs has barely dumped anything

Ohio is not - it is a blue mirage.

Kornackes rural FA county clicks are showing a 2ish % drop for Harris. Those single thousands add up. Need some idea that either she’s doing better or the same with higher turnout in the burbs and urban.

Not sure what's going on with the mega early calls.

projections aren't calls.  the AP makes calls. pretty much everyone else makes projections. there's always early *polls closed just now so projection is made* for a bunch of states.

After hearing that 60% of voters are worried about the future of democracy, Fox guy Bret is saying that if they worried about the most important issues, “the economy and the border” Trump would win in a landslide.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) marched to re-election in Ohio’s 4th Congressional District on Tuesday, Decision Desk HQ projects, securing a 10th term in the House as speculation swirls about a whether he’ll make a leadership bid for the next Congress. https://t.co/InX0WzB8m9

Williamson County 2020 was 49.5-48.4 for Trump in early voting only. 49.8-48.5 this year given the likely drift back to early favoring R and election day favoring D would imply to me that Harris will end up winning Wilco by a hair more than Biden did. But yeah, if this is an indication then Texas stays red. Which you should have been expecting of course.

As I said...moderately disappointing. I am also hoping our sheriff gets re-elected, but he has a bit of a hole to climb out of.

My exact initial reaction. But I think light shading is just showing reported votes. Did some urban Texas county report their early voting results?

Yeah that's useless. Completely depends on what counties are reporting. Rural or urban? Mostly rural report early because of lack of population, but maybe a metro Texas county reported a big drop and that temporarily put Texas blue. It's much ado about nothing.

If those urban returns of Kamala outpacing Biden by 4 to 5 percent in Georgia are correct and hold for the last 20 percent she's getting Georgia. Not enough hicks in the sticks to make up the difference if those hold to that large of a margin difference.

I think it's funny that Alabama was called for Dotard with like 900 votes in.

Any state voting for Tommy Tuberville automatically goes for the worst candidate.

and 2-3% more in the urban counties wipes it out.

This the game day thread?

GA looks rough but need to see more of Atlanta come in.

I don't hate where NC's at.

Too early to infer anything significant in the rust belt. Hamilton County, IN gets mentioned a lot as a midwestern suburban bellwether and Harris is running marginaly better than Biden there with 75% of votes in.

Red from 2020 is getting a point or 2 redder, and Blue from 2020 is getting bluer at nearly the same rate.  Bigger counties should overtake.

This, a 1-2% shift in an urban/suburban county can net her 20-40k votes.

A 2-3% shift right in a rural county might net him 1000 votes.

I don't understand how Robinson's shit crazy behavior is a bridge too far for NC resident to the tune of a double digit win, but Trump and Vance's aren't?
