projections aren't calls.  the AP makes calls. pretty much everyone else makes projections. there's always early *polls closed just now so projection is made* for a bunch of states.

NBC is projecting many Trump states immediately but saying too close to call for Harris states, while sometimes calling down ballot statewide races (Connecticut just on screen).  Can’t say I enjoy that.

It always happens, Red states are super red, don't worry eyes on the prize the swing states we all talk about

PBS is so much better.  I watched NBC for about 5 minutes and got tired.  You want to see shitty coverage, go look at Brian Williams in Amazon.  Absolute dog shit.

And all these sites, including the Times, are reporting things like “57 percent chance of a Harris victory” in states where polls are closed.

No, assholes. There is no more probability or chance, one candidate has 100 percent won and another one has zero percent won. It is completely binary, it has happened. You are saying that your forecast has a X percent chance of being right.

DeKalb was +250k for Biden - no votes yet

Gwinnett was +80k for Biden - no votes yet

up to the states* to decide

Florida is determined to become the biggest shithole in the US.  All the assholes seem to win there.  Come on Texas, make it a little less shitty.

As long as they're importing the deplorables from other states, especially swing states, I'm 100 percent ok with that. Gives me the opportunity to cheer for the hurricanes.

Weather is a million times better than the swamp in Orlando

This is actually a true story. I got outvoted on our family vacation this year and we ended up in Gulf Shores, AL. They all kept asking me why I was voting for Disneyland as a grown man over and over. I explained and they said "oh come on let's just go on a fun vacation." I said they don't understand but they will.

In our family group messages right now my wife and two daughters now understand. I told them "yes I absolutely have a smug look on my face right now."

Dallas Democrats have fought hard against city props S, T, and U. Only S is passing right now. Just for reference for all yall non Dallas folks

  • Proposition S - to give “standing to any resident of Dallas to bring a lawsuit against the city to require the city to comply with provisions of the city charter, city ordinances and state law.”
  • Proposition T - this would require the city to conduct a city-commissioned community survey each year of a minimum of 1,400 Dallas residents that would cause either the city manager earning a performance-based pay raise or the city manager’s firing.
  • Proposition U- this has two elements. One would earmark at least 50% of new revenue each year to fund the Dallas Police and Fire Pension. The other would require the city to maintain a force of at least 4,000 police officers and increase starting pay for officers.

Too early to project swing states.

For now I'm watching NC and Georgia. She takes both of those and it's pop the corks. Orange fucktard isn't sweeping PA, MI, and WI.

S is a terrible proposition

Going to need a debrief post election on how close so many of these states are looking to end up. Country divided has never been more true

This the game day thread?

GA looks rough but need to see more of Atlanta come in.

I don't hate where NC's at.

Too early to infer anything significant in the rust belt. Hamilton County, IN gets mentioned a lot as a midwestern suburban bellwether and Harris is running marginaly better than Biden there with 75% of votes in.

Yes, and you just came in in the 2nd quarter talking about the 1st drive.

Good or bad - I love how y'all have a real city government ran by adults. Something I miss about living up there.

In Austin the props are like "Vote yes to give $50 billion to homeless chipmunks making macaroni art"

Forgot all about him doing that, why is it shitty? Not going to go look.

Also, magic number 50% for either candidate will be north of 2.5 million at a minimum.

This guy doesn’t Schrödinger.

So far, this is looking like 2020, with FL being big time redder and the midwest looking a bit bluer.  GA/NC are going to both be close.

These propositions are absolute dogshit that were brought by a guy that entered Congress on January 6th.

Wouldn't be surprised if this isn't Trump's people as well to slow down the count in certain areas. Try to get people to give up on voting as well. Everyone needs resolve to keep fighting.

He wouldn't have to sweep.  PA, MI, NV, and AZ would put Trump at 270.

So far, every single indicator we hoped for, with the big caveat of no dem GA counties reporting, hasn’t happened. Florida was a landslide with weed and abortion on the ballot, GA sill a big question mark at best. NC seems like the last promising real hope for early confidence.

Florida is Florida. Haven’t seen anything in Georgia or NC overly concerning.
