Dems have to really rebrand and get stronger more aggressive messaging. They’re bringing a knife to a gun fight in terms of average person perception.

Unless they buy up a bunch of blatant propaganda outlets, not sure how it changes.

I am sooo looking forward to them finally gutting Obamacare.  Good luck, non-wealthy Trump voters!

good luck dialysis recipients. Time to get off the governments teat once and for all.

If Obama did 2 percent of what Trump did they would have put him on a rail gun and shot him to Taiwan. This country has a sickness, deeply in the marrow, and it all started with the Civil War.

I was just thinking about this.

How do you convey a concept to third graders?

It might not have mattered anyway the way this transpired but more blame rests with Joe Biden for not announcing he's not running by mid-2023 to set up an open Primary than anyone else. Country's fucked. We'll see how much of dangerous erratic decision-making we get versus Project 2025. Probably the worst of both.

Joe Biden delayed what now seems inevitable. The American people did this to themselves. Trump didn't force anyone to vote for him.

America isn't a monolith, but it has lacked accountability and strong moral direction for a significant portion of my life. This is a sign of an eroded society incapable of accountability or collective goodwill. The American you live in isn't changing, the feeling you feel now is what brisket has been talking about. Trump is a symptom, he's not the disease. The American population is sick (unhealthy) and a lot of people thought defeating Trump in this election would turn the page and put things on the mend. After tonights result, even if a few hundred thousand people switched their votes and the outcome was different I don't believe for one second that it would heal America. There's something deeply wrong with a large majority of the country.

One problem for Dems is they keep thinking America is smarter than Americans really are. They keep thinking, there’s no way Americans will fall for Russian disinformation. And yet, Americans keep showing you THEY FALL FOR RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION!.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—Dems have to get younger. New names are needed.

Agree. And stop relying on star power. It really does not work. It is entertainment. We make fun of hulk hogan at trump rally's, but the message came from Miller and the gang. Yell louder, don't make sense, just stay on message. Push fear. Wonder where we heard that in history before.

This will keep happening as long as they are afraid of being called socialists. They need to lean into those progressive policies they know to be popular.

The Harris campaign used Liz Cheney to campaign for her. That's almost beyond comprehension, but totally on par for Democrats who are terrified of their left wing.

No response to this?

Putin decided Ukraine was worth invading while Obama and Biden were in office. For whatever reason, he didn't try it while Trump was in charge. Maybe Trump barters an end to the war as he mentioned, or maybe he brings a show of force to get Putin to back down. Too early to say, but the fact remains Putin didn't screw with Ukraine while Trump was there. Trump pushed NATO members to hold up their end of defense spending to put pressure on Russia to begin with, and he also urged Germany and other European nations to reduce their dependence on Russian energy to hurt Moscow. That bit them in the butt when the Ukraine war started.

As far as destroying LGBT rights, that's not really been part of Trump's platform in the past. I'd be surprised if he did anything there.

SC justices, yeah, I could definitely see them getting paid off to retire and they'll get replaced. At the end of the day you're replacing two conservatives with conservatives though.

So all that is going to be really shitty? I think we'll be okay.

I think an effort at deportation will be made, it will just depend on how much money they want to throw at the problem. At the end of the day the damage is probably done, and there will be a lot of tax dollars spent assisting these people that crossed illegally.

run your script through some sort of Flesch-Kincaid AI LLM.

Trump legitimately speaks at a 4th grade level. Helps him connect with the mouth breathers that get their news from chain emails.

Hey, now. My mom voted for Trump. Fuck her, but I don't deserve this shit.

Every R voter around me (physically, i.e. neighbors) are at least partially dependent upon social security, whether they want to admit it or not.  They've just chosen to potentially have that cut.  I hope they are happy.

Fuck you you fucking piece of shit. I have cancer. The pills I take to keep me alive cost $30,000 a month on the best and most expensive possible insurance that exists. If they take away protections for preexisting conditions, I die and my wife and kids go bankrupt in the process. Fuck you.

Oh, they are never, ever going to cut benefits to current recipients.

That is what makes this time different. I can see pretty clearly what this means.

Thank you for an actual response. I think you're being willfully ignorant about Putin's influence in the country and why Russia wanted desperately for Trump to be President. But we'll see.

Also, we both know what would actually put a real dent in illegal crossings: real, significant penalties to any company caught employing an illegal citizen. Why do you think it is that the GOP would never, ever vote for something like that?

But he has "privatized" insurance through his wife. No problems. That shit is mostly free and doesn't cost anyone anything...
So it was Latinos that gave it to trump thus election.

My grandpa was going through it 15 years ago and it was hell for our family financially. If I would have known you felt this way when I met you I would have beat the shit out of you. Agreed, the average American intelligence has declined significantly and we need to adjust. More lights, more colors, more trans fear, more pandering to machismo Latinos.

Nah. Democrats are fighting wtf bronze against nukes. Now we can all be anti nuke but agree we can move from bronze through iron into steel gunpowder and beyond without nuking the planet. dems think rough is nuclear because that's how republicans act.

and then democrats have their purity tests. THESE PEOPLE ARE FASCIST but my litmus paper turned red teacher fuck you

How do you spend 30k a month on pills? Can this be a new topic for people to understand what went into arriving at that point

We'll see with Putin. I think Russia prefers chaos and sees Trump as the more divisive, which is good for them. On the other hand, Putin obviously hasn't feared Biden or Obama when it comes to involvement in the Ukraine invasions.

Truth, farmers would get hit most hard probably if the labor dried up. For that reason GOP probably won't significantly penalize employers using illegal labor.

Also…*you’re

I can think of a couple of liberal Supreme Court justices who might want to consider stepping down between now and January.

Absolutely wild that a decrepit Biden runs a more competitive race than Kamala.  He still probably doesn’t win, but at least we aren’t going to bed tonight completely defeated.

Kamala is proving to be the worst Democrat candidate in quite some time. She was an atrocious candidate in 2020 and she never overcame those headwinds with a significant portion of the D coalition.

I hope in 2028 they focus less on capturing celebrity endorsements and more on the issues that drive voters to the polls.
