I have a distinct memory of being vaccinated at school for something. Late 70s. It was every kid lined up and someone jabbed something into your arm.

I have zero reservations about any vaccine. When the HPV vaccine came out and insurance would only pay for younger men to get it, I asked the doctor if there was any harm in getting myself as an older, single guy. He said it would only harm my wallet and could possibly offer little to no value. I rolled my sleeve and said go for it.

I was practically in line the day I became eligible for the shingles vaccine.

Same, except HPV.  I asked my doctor, and he said "you're  GenX, you probably already have HPV..."  He would have given the vaccine to me, but I lol'd, I'm done playing the field.

Our generation fucks. For better or worse.

I mean if outrage reached a certain level and his poll numbers dropped far enough, eventually impeachment and removal from office would be on the table. But that would probably come after the whole cancellation of elections etc. part. And I'm not sure if we have enough leopards to eat that many faces.

No brother it's over. We are already in a dictatorship. No one is going to move this guy for two reasons.

1) They are all afraid of him.

2) They won't for the same reasons the MAGA faithful didn't. They don't give a shit because it doesn't affect them. The only thing left to do is cancel elections which they already have we just haven't had it announced yet.

It would get us fake poll numbers, fake unemployment numbers, fake economic biggly numbers and fake everything else except consumer receipts.

SIAP but I'm afraid that fondness for incorrect apostrophe placement continues from the First Term to the Second and has since spread among the Administration:

“President Trumps” is presumably Ed Martin’s way of referring to Donald Trump and Elon Musk. A bit rude to Elon really. And it ought to be Presidents Trump, but let’s face it, Ed’s not much of a wordsmith. [contains quote post or other embedded content]

As Ken White points out in another post, Edward Martin, Jr as the U.S. Attorney is not (supposed to be) the President's attorney but America's...given that Edward Martin Jr seems rather dim, perhaps he's been cribbing with Rudy.

Y'see, I had him going for the easy bags of cash available by going on the fundagelical church speaking tour for the next 6-9 months. During that time, he'd have a ghostwriter pen "Wokeness Wounded Me, But Lord Trump Saved Me: One Man's Journey to Salvation through MAGA" which the GQP would buy 3 million copies of to hand out at their klan  rallies. The book tour would merge nicely w/ non-stop guest appearances on Fox, OAN, Newsmax, etc., where he could publicly fellate dotard. This would last until about the end of the first year of Trump's term so he'd likely be up for a cabinet post by that time since dotard will have begun firing those unqualified losers he'd nominated 12 months ago who didn't have the courage to hold the Constitution to his boil covered butt while wiping his ass with it.

Anyway buffoonish hack Ed Martin probably won’t approve charges against right-wingers. So if you’re in DC, deciding what level of force to use against a Trumpist, consider they can kill or assault or rape you without being charged or with the promise of a pardon, and act accordingly. I know the material reasons for the rise of fascism. I also think another reason - which doesn’t get talked about as much because it’s embarrassing that humans can be that naive - is that when you are financially comfortable but bored, abstract cruelty can give you a sense of purpose.

Trump is fixing that financially comfortable part for many people.

His girlfriend is claiming there was no assault. It sounds like the typical domestic violence excuse "She tripped".

The real fuckery seems to be with how the police report kept getting modified.

Quote

Sarah Raviani confirmed in a statement to CNN that she reached out to law enforcement but she said there was no violence.

“Wednesday, I reached out to law enforcement to address a personal matter. Several factors influenced my decision to involve the authorities,” Raviani said. “While the personal matter in question was emotionally charged, there was no physical altercation.”

Describing her physical and emotional state at the time, Raviani said she was “severely jet-lagged and sleep-deprived” after returning from a 14-hour flight and had been drinking.

“Upon their arrival, they noticed some bruising and marks on my arms, which I explained were the result of medical conditions like eczema and activities from my recent trip to Dubai,” Raviani added.

Raviani also claimed that the situation had been “misrepresented” and has led to “relentless harassment from various sources.”

Great coordination and messaging. Real efficient.

Well Pres says you won't get fired, but maybe you will. The 5 hour Coup.

Feb. 24, 7:06 p.m. ESTMusk said “subject to the discretion of the President,” federal workers who did not respond to the check-in email will get another chance to respond, adding failure to do so would result in being fired.

Feb. 24, 2 p.m. ESTThe Trump administration informed federal agencies it is now “voluntary” for employees to respond to Musk’s email and they will not be fired if they don’t respond, according to The New York Times, with Politico reporting workers are now directed to defer to their individual agency’s guidance on whether to respond (Musk previously said any non-responses will be treated as resignations).

In theory the majority to impeach in the House and the 2/3 to convict and remove in the Senate hasn't changed.

In theory

But even in practice, exactly where are those votes coming from in the House, much less the fucking Senate.

From the article:

Reached for comment, a spokesman for Trump Jr., Arthur Schwartz, emailed Vanity Fair that, given the presidential son’s leading role in staffing up the Trump-Vance administration, “Are you really asking whether a member of the transition team played a role in the transition? You people are a bunch of retards.”

I'm not sure it's been brought up on this thread, but where in the hell are Biden, Clinton, and Bush?  Why the hell are they not holding press conferences talking about the danger of fascism?

Their silence is their complicity.  Fuck 'em all.
