Oh, and native-born workers have accounted for ALL job gains since January? Bull fucking shit.

Yea LOL at that.  It still would have been bullshit of course but they could have at least gone with "citizen workers" using native born means we are supposed to believe every single one of those bullshit jobs numbers that will be revised in a few months anyway went to people born on US soil.

I have no idea how they would even track that, because it plays no role whatsoever in how job counts are calculated.

My first job out of grad school was producing these numbers at https://texaslmi.com/ back in the late 90s, so I'm very familiar with the process. The BLS then takes these numbers and more-or-less republishes them. Of course, they do their own stuff in DC, but the topline figures we read in the papers come from each state’s workforce commission, as shown at the link.

Trump wants people to have less credit cards interest to pay when they lose their jobs. He thinks that low interest rates mean high stock markets. That is the basic understanding of his fight with Powell. Historically, we are no where near high interest rates and no one in the media can, or has the desire, to explain that to the American public. So he will get away with blaming everything on Powell despite it being about tariffs.

"Native born" is a nice compromise between "citizen" and "white".

If anything, he's getting kickbacks from some of the contractors, if not all of them.  Would love to see the budget for that project, as well as the list of final bidders awarded the jobs.

That last guy on the video states that the low numbers are excusable due to the confusion and reticence around the trade wars and tariffs.  They know what the causes are, but are too cowardly to step up and point fingers.

People should start asking their grandparents what the interest rate on their first mortgage was.

Worth repeating. He's only bold when he is untouchable. It would be such fun to be stuck in an elevator with him just to terrorize him without having to lay a finger on that sorry fuck. I used to fantasize about a moment like that with Rush Limbaugh. I was big and imposing back in the day.

I never fantasized it with Reagan because he would have kicked my ass and terrorized me. Still, he'd get scratched up.

Jeff Tiedrich is always a fun read: https://www.jefftiedrich.com/p/vulgar-pig-to-turn-white-house-into?img=https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fb95d6ed8-6614-4a40-927b-60971a0eacbe_768x511.jpeg&open=false

vulgar pig to turn White House into a tacky golf motel — because fuck you, that’s why

nobody asked for this

he’s so fucking gross, and he defiles everything he puts his nasty little hands on.

it was bad enough when he tarted up the Oval Office with so much gaudy gold tat that it now looks like the gift shop of a bordello. you could have sent a child in there, armed with macaroni, glue, and a can of gold spray paint, and they would have done a more tasteful job.

image.png.5d03ab4b06049ccba65ec70f5761838e.png

tell me, how broken-inside do you have to be to gaze upon a historic and beautifully-curated rose garden and think ‘nah, let’s pave right the fuck over that shit’?

image.thumb.png.1511ada4a5ae6bd89d3a0029f1022541.png Don

Donny, we’re told, wants the White House grounds to look more like his seedy little Florida golf motel. why? he’s down at Motel-a-Lago almost every weekend. does he really get that homesick the four days of the week he’s up in Washington, that he needs to turn the White House into some sterile parking lot?

does Donny want to be able to look out the Oval Office window, and there’s the Space Nazi, high as two ketamine-soaked kites, sitting on the patio where the Rose Garden used to be, piloting Forkship One to Mars?

b0846ebd-d085-41a0-acab-f8f834e402c8_341

nobody asked for this — and yet it’s being shoved in all of our faces, because fuck you, that’s why. nobody tells America’s Mad King what he can or can’t do.

now get ready to projectile vomit, because Little Donny Fuckface isn’t done shitting all over what we used to — in more innocent times — call The People’s House.

image.thumb.png.996debd0a1fa7b159bad0d9ac05b41dc.png

look at this abomination.

image.thumb.png.010fa5195c77fe91d8a4773cfc277110.png

nobody asked for this, but Donny’s going to burn through two hundred million dollars in his quest to bulldoze the White House and replace it with a gaudy golf motel.

and I mean that quite literally — because I hear you asking ‘hey Uncle Jeff. ninety thousand square feet is larger than a football field. how is a ballroom of that size going to fit in the current White House?’

the answer is, it’s not.

the plan is to something-something-something the 55,000-square-foot East Wing and who the fuck knows what after that. if you want actual details, forget about it — because as usual, nobody in the White House can get their stories straight.

here's Karoline Lie-vitt’s version.

"The ballroom will be built where the “small, heavily changed, and reconstructed East Wing currently sits,” Leavitt said Thursday during a press briefing. When asked if crews would tear anything down to make way for the new structure, Leavitt said “the East Wing is going to be modernized.”

that’s complete nonsense. you can’t put a 90,000-square-foot ballroom where the 55,000-square-foot East Wing currently sits without tearing something down.

math, how does it work?

and here’s Donny’s version.

“It won't be— it’ll be near it, but not touching it, and pays total respect to the existing building, which I'm the biggest fan of,” Mr. Trump said.

so which is it, you ass-clowns? is it going to replace the East Wing, or be near it?

by the way, here’s another artist’s rendition of the new ballroom.

image.thumb.png.975b9b5d754c7b1a3b8c2b6eb58fcbff.png

oh no, wait — I’m sorry, that’s an actual photo of the Kremlin.

again, nobody asked for this. you can’t have healthcare, but Donny’s going to set fire to two hundred million dollars in his compulsive crusade to replicate his vermin-infested golf motel.

what’s next for the White House, Donny? hey, how about a spa? just think of it, bro — a vulgar golden spa, complete with teenage “spa girls,” just like the kind you and your dead pedo bestie used to fight over.

Donny won’t be happy until he’s shit all over everything we hold dear. one by one, he’s taken our once-sacred institutions and clownfucked them until they were worthless.

remember the Presidential Medal of Freedom? it used to be the highest honor that our nation could bestow on a civilian.

no more. now it’s that cheap trinket the president’s Slovenian trophy wife hung around the neck of some drug-addled sex-tourist.

image.png.d9dc8a8599bca6a307f8f41b8b3e321d.png

Donny’s also made a mockery of our legal system. he’s used his presidential powers to pardon cronies, murderers and war criminals.

nobody should be surprised if he pardons the woman who used to wander the Motel-a-Lago spa rooms in search of teenage girls she could traffic for Donny’s dead pedo bestie.

speaking of which, the hornet’s nest Donny kicked when he let slip that he and Jeffrey Epstein fought over possession of those ‘spa girls’ shows no sign of going away.

yesterday, at a White House event for who the fuck even cares, the only thing the reporters wanted to talk about was you-know-what.

reporter: “the family of Virginia Giuffre released a statement overnight in response to some of the comments that you made this week, that Jeffrey Epstein ‘stole’ people from Mar-a-Lago. at the time, did you know why he was taking those young women, including Virginia Giuffre?”

Donny: “no, I didn’t know. I mean, I would figure it was ABC fake news that would ask that question, one of the worst.”

oh, so a fact that Donny let seep out of his rancid anus-mouth two days ago — that Virginia Giuffre was ‘stolen’ (she wasn’t your possession, Donny) — now, all of a sudden it’s ‘fake news’?

news flash for Donny: you’re the one who put the story out there, dumb-ass. there’s a reason lawyers tell their clients to shut the fuck up, you blabbermouth fool.

Does anyone besides the brain-dead cultists really believe that Donny didn’t know what Epstein was up to? what the fuck was that birthday poem about sharing ‘wonderful secrets’ all about?

image.png.36bebaf9e10f518513577189e52e44c9.png

was it Jeffrey Epstein’s recipe for the perfect bloody mary? was that the ‘wonderful secret’? I don’t think so.

don’t piss on our heads and tell us it’s raining, Donny.

now let’s all enjoy Donny concluding his hissy-fit and walking smack into his podium.

fun fact: one of the signs of advancing dementia is the inability to move around without bumping into things.

A buddy who is all-in on anti-Trump shit posted this about the Epstein/Trump real estate fiasco that led to their falling out. As reported, it might've been Epstein who pulled the plug on the relationship with Trump. This would've been in 2004, at least three years before Trump kicked him out of MAL.

Quote

Trump didn’t break up with Epstein; Epstein broke up with Trump.

Like every friend, associate, employee, or even family member, Epstein learned the hard way that with Trump, money always trumps loyalty.

Epstein had his eye on a Palm Beach mansion called Maison de L’Amitié, just blocks from Mar-a-Lago. Confident he was the highest bidder, he even brought Trump along to view the property and offer input, something you’d only do with a trusted friend.

But Trump, true to form, betrayed that trust. He went behind Epstein’s back and outbid him by several million dollars, purchasing the home himself in 2004 for $41.35 million. That was the end of their friendship, Epstein never forgave him.

Trump never even lived in the house. He left it mostly vacant for four years, then flipped it in 2008 to Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev for a staggering $95 million, more than double the purchase price.

The sale raised major red flags, not just for the suspicious price but for the buyer’s ties to Russia and the LACK OF RENOVATIONS OR ADDED VALUE.

It reeked of money laundering.

So no, Trump didn’t cut ties with Epstein out of moral outrage. He did what he always does: stabbed someone in the back for a profit.

And in this case, he just happened to out grift a fellow predator.

Bingo. Should there be another non-MAGA elected president, he/she should bulldoze that on day one and replant the rose garden. Name it as memorial to Virginia Louise Giuffre.

Well here’s my anecdote. I got let go from my job at a tech company that I’ve worked at for 10 years this morning. Oh well.

I think it does. Trump inherited a pretty strong economy. Took him a few months to slow it down.

Disagree! I was an inspector for years. It’s a pretty pointless exercise with very little connection to safety.

Used to work with a guy who's Houston-area vehicle constantly alternated between belching white or black smoke. The vehicle not the guy. I asked him how he passed the inspection, and he replied that there were locations that would pass any vehicle for an extra $20. He also complained about the reach of govt in our lives.

Plus over the last 3 months we’ve lost 24,000 manufacturing jobs- wasn’t that the motivation for tariffs?

Not even one year in and he’s driven a strong economy off a cliff

Six decades of contributing to what was great about America - educational programs, cultural programs, outreach to underserved communities and amplification of voices who were previously ignored.  All gone, and now leaving NPR/PBS and their hundreds of member stations to try and figure out a way forward without a coordinating/funding body.

Everyone who voted for this and cheers it can go, well, you know.  None of this is making us a better country.

So we missed the jobs number "slightly" by 34%.

I "slightly" missed my goal of benching 300 lb in HS by 32%.  (Hey, I was a 105 lb wrestler.)
