It really feels like the only thing keeping the Right from fully freaking out right now is the stock market. Whether they participate or not, that's what they're hanging their hat on. Everything else is complete shit and they all know it. The economy is terrible, Trump's tariffs are a disaster, the morale in this country is incredibly low.

If/when the stock market crashes, the real chaos begins.

Let's give thanks to our new AI overlords for this development.

Outside of that period where it looked like complete shit, its performance seems fairly pedestrian since inauguration day.

I also keep asking this question

The answer is when they don’t have to listen or see Joy Reid or anyone else with skin coloring ever again.

Incorrect.  They're okay with some minorities around.  Just so long as they are appropriately cowed and subservient.  Ain't nothing wrong with black folks, so long as you can call them "boy" and they don't talk back to you or demand equal pay, equal rights, or any of that shit.  Just toe the line, boy, and you'll be fine.

And it’ll go south soon enough. Ironically, the economic pain coming for all of us, and the speed at which it is all happening, might be the only thing that has a chance of saving us in 2026.

They probably need to find a way for all this AI to pay for itself at some point to prevent that.

Or maybe not. Actually selling a product or providing services to generate a profit seems weirdly detached from the stock market which seems to operate in some weird fever dream disconnected from the economy.

Well...the very same forces that might take down the GOP would be the same ones that devastate any attempt of the Dems to govern...especially this particular corrupt and pathetic version of the Dems.

Fuck that stupid bitch. She should have been calling out his blatant lies and shutting him down not saying “but is it really…”

This is the only thing that will make any of the rural/red voters change their mind.   As long as they can vote red, and see the people they hate get hated on by the government, without losing a dime, they'll keep voting that way.  But if it personally costs them money to continue to do so, that's the only hope for change.  I'm unconvinced that the Dems would be able to rise to the moment and capitalize on such a scenario.  The Republicans are too good at giving idiots reasons to blame the Dems.

Poor whites in rural USA do not have stocks. When the food stamps dry up and the local hospitals close, along with general costs of everything - nothing will change. They will starve themselves because it’s the liberals fault.

Dang. The Undertaker has dropped a lot of weight.

I asked three people at work if they had heard about the FBI director testifying that Epstein wasn’t a sex trafficker, over 24 hours ago. Each said no, they had not heard that. All smart people who generally follow what’s going on. I really, really hate our media.

Wonder how long it is before members of my maga family start talking about the attempted democrat hoax to make Jeffrey Epstein into a sex trafficker.

Racism is essentially policy now

This is hilarious, and is 100% a reaction to comments made by Steven Bonnell (also known as Destiny), who has, very ironically, been permanently banned from Twitch for years now.

That is, it would be hilarious if it wasn't just another death knell for freedom of speech.

I have a fully functioning moral compass, so not only am I unfit for a job in this administration, but I simply cannot wrap my head around how utterly feckless one must be to evade Swalwell's question as Patel just did.  I mean, have some fucking pride, man.

And probably will have a cabinet position soon. Not kidding.

A question for the lawyers here.  Can a lawsuit be filed against the administration for the malicious, false comments they make on a daily basis?

State TV is coming.  I feel it.

Soon we will have Late Night with Don Jr

He wasn't a perfect president by any stretch, but he was a damn good one and this country misses him tremendously.
