Early on I called him as the real threat to the nation. Something about him. I just see evil.

Something about him… like literally every time he speaks? (Not being a smartass)

Stephen Miller might as well have horns. It’s not tough to see. He probably thought Hitler didn’t go far enough.

Man, it's almost like he's a conman or something, and was just in it to enrich himself with everyone's money and to stay out of jail. 79 million votes.

I think it's fair to point out that they were applauding whatever he said before that.  What is the occasion there?  I assume something to do with the Navy birthday.

No idea of the occasion, but your point is fair. I'll revise my previous post:

"Dehumanizing rhetoric about political opponents in a partisan speech in front of uniformed service members reeks of overt fascism."

A speech at Norfolk Naval base.  Skimming the whole thing, got a lot of applause for the rah rah stuff and a lot of shrugs for the political stuff.

I granted your point, yet still maintain that partisan speeches by the Commander in Chief, dehumanizing his political opponents in front of uniformed members of the military, are at the very least inherently authoritarian. Knowing the particular policies of this regime pushes the ball across the goal line into fascism.

Sounds to me like the democrats all need another lesson on how they need to tone down their rhetoric.

Um, I'll take some more homework, please.

And yet another lesson for the democrats on how they need to tone down their rhetoric.

Oh no doubt.  Totally inappropriate in any event.  Especially so in current circumstances.

I just was interested in the sailors' reactions.

Also, here's harmeethead's criticism.  https://therightscoop.com/breaking-harmeet-dhillon-responds-after-sc-judge-blocked-her-access-to-voter-roles/

The gist:

This @TheJusticeDept’s @CivilRights will not stand for a state court judge’s hasty nullification of our federal voting laws. I will allow nothing to stand in the way of our mandate to maintain clean voter rolls.

One Citizen, One Vote!

That is a complete load of shit.  It is entirely the state's responsibility, to the exclusion of the federal government, to maintain and police its voter rolls.  Federal law comes into play only if there is evidence that the states are doing so in a way that violates civil rights.

If this were a novel, this would be the beginning of a powerful insurgency called the “Gnats” targeting those in power.

In real life, this will not be a story by sunrise.

Finally found what they were applauding.  "I support across the board pay raises . . . ."   There was not a peep from the audience for the remaining political screed.

Is Trump aware of the violent gun crime running rampant in the Republican led cities of Dallas and Ft.Worth. Shouldn’t Abbott be sweeping around his own front door instead  of messing with Portland and Chicago?

This is about ending gun violence about as much as ending abortion was about saving babies.

They're just giving their base what it wants so they can keep profiting.

And the state government won’t get in your way. The opposite, actually.

He’s unwell:

Donald Trump has sparked a fresh frenzy about his health after giving a very unorthodox CNN interview.

The 79-year-old president gave an exclusive interview to State of the Union host Jake Tapper Sunday, but bizarrely texted his answers in at an unspecified time before the show rather than speaking in person or calling.

I look forward to hearing how this is Joe Biden's fault.

I would argue they aren’t being used as political props. They are very much being used as an illegal military force on our own soil.

Russian Roulette Reaction GIF

Surprisingly Trump did actually mention OBL and predicted a future terrorist attack in that 2000 book. In separate chapters.

Pre 9/11, most Americans couldn’t have named OBL but his name and terrorist background was known to people who cared to know and not a secret.

as for Trump mentioning Hegseth in this speech segment, he must have tripped over his words or memory combining his old book with talking to Hegseth in the last few days. When my dad went thru dementia he often exhibited similar confusion.

also important to remember that Trump never wrote his own books. It’s probably a 99.999% chance that the ghost author inserted that info and Trump never even read it.
