Because they aren't stupid & recognize they already have a higher standard of living where they are currently.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2025/dec/09/donald-trump/foreign-corporate-investment-18-22-trillion/

meter-false.jpg

The White House website lists $9.6 trillion in investments, half of the figure President Donald Trump cites.

But that $9.6 trillion includes aspirational, multi-year goals, and future purchases or sales of products, rather than only capital investments.

The White House’s total includes large commitments from governments such as the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, whose pledges are multiple times larger than their countries’ annual gross domestic product, which calls the pledges’ feasibility into question.

'member that year aggy claimed $300 million in football "revenue" but it was all just pledges?

"...It's not a religion. It's a cult..."

What a well thought out line of reasoning and clear understanding of what the definition of cult is by the senator.

Shit's already normalized. We're probably six months away from one of these cretins saying "All brown people need to leave the country before we start killing you all."

But coach senator, I don’t want the United Christians of America either. What’s the difference?

Plenty of irony to go around in this statement, but I’ll pick on this: American Christianity sows seeds of its own destruction seemingly each time it opens it mouth. They don’t need no brown hordes’ help.

Taylor makes a good point there that I wish more would make. "I am more of a republican that Trump is."

I really wish it was talked about more that he suddenly turned into a republican when he wanted to run for office. Because he's a conman, and knew he could con republicans by pretending to be one.

Not like it matters at this point I guess.

He's actually kind of right on the Islamist part.  But Islam /= Islamist.

We need a comparable word for Christians that pervert the religion to political ends.

Here is an example of how adults react when misjudging a fart.

‘Christianity is the one true religion and therefore should be the official religion of the United States.’

The interesting thing is how little Trump and Musk know about what "soft power" is (well Musk just wanted to gut the agencies investigating his companies).

I would like to think that we provided this aid because it's the right thing to do (and Christians can say it's because we are somehow a Christian nation).

But the reality is that we did it because we wanted influence in that part of the world. We wanted American companies to be able to go in there and conduct business and bargain for resources. We wanted to keep the Soviets and then Russians, and now the Chinese out.

China is absolutely going to fill the void that we are leaving all around the world. Deliberately destroying the means to influence other countries is huge part of how we will decline on the world stage.

Godfucking dammit, die already you rancid piece of shit!

My wife and I were discussing this last night.  My message was "I truly don't think you understand how much I am going to celebrate when he dies.  Like, I won't be able to work for 3-4 days.  Imagine how the western world celebrated when the Nazis surrendered.  And how the French celebrated their liberation.  We're talking that level of celebration."

"reportedly through the anger he caused others..."

Is he saying one of his supporters killed Meathead, and then calls him paranoid?  Jesus fucking Christ.  If one of your boys murders someone, maybe consider shutting the fuck up for a while.

The so-called Trump Derangement Syndrome is probably the greatest example of "every accusation is a confession".

Yeah it really should refer to Trump's derangement, not to those who note it and call it out.

It is really depressing that people don't give a shit about foreign policy, outside of an unpopular war.

For the amount of good so many of these programs do, we should be happy to send the relatively minimal amount of money their way. But since we can't be bothered to give a shit about our own citizens, I guess it shouldn't be surprising that brown people on the other side of the world garner no sympathy. Fucking disgusting.

Reminds me that Jeffrey Epstein, a sociopathic monster in his own right, said Trump was the worst person he’s ever met.

He just doesn’t have a single cell of human empathy in his fat fucking body. Not one for one moment of his entire worthless life. Any society that was worthwhile would have cast him out years ago. Ours took a different route.
