Went to pick up my scrips earlier. The line of our Spanish speaking brethren nearly went out the door of the CVS.

My assumption is they're getting their scrips while they can.

There i am the giant guero in his black leather jacket ( I chose poorly but I need my scrips) I kept a smile on face and let the abuelas in front of me.

God damn this shit.

Fucke me. "Let" abuelas through.

That i even typed that is fucked up.

@Wulaw Horn - sorry to pull you into a CR thread. Does this impact VA loans and applications in process?

I don’t think so, as I’ve got 2 scheduled to fund on Friday and no word directly about any problems with it, but it’s not that big a deal in all likelihood.

Your lender funds the loan and eventually sells them to the VA a day, a week or a month or 3 months down the road. However long it takes them to bundle it and get it done and scrubbed and signed off on/ but it’s a normal course of bundles for them, and the market isn’t exactly smoking hot right now (ha- understatement alert).

Now, if the freeze lasts too long the market could get illiquid I suppose, but I wouldn’t think that would happen for a good stretch of time.

I’m quite positive that it was fairly early in the morning when I came to your house. I’m very hurt I wasn’t offered any of said tacos

Flustered?  She had the most prepared and direct answer non-word salad breifing I've seen in a long time.

A new @reuters.com poll finds Americans have a dim view of many of the Trump administration's blizzard of executive actions, including the Jan. 6 pardons and his effort to limit birthright citizenship. Donald Trump has just released a national under 18 trans care ban executive order. I am working through specifically how it tries to do this, and will live tweet here section by section as I read through it. It is not yet on the website, but has been released via press release.

Curious to see the spin on the funding freeze. Fairly certain the entire state government here in Oklahoma is held together by federal grant money, Barry Switzer memorabilia sales, and Uncle Roscoe's crystal meth operation.

The rank-and-file were pretty distraught over it this afternoon. Can't wait for the talking points.

So...what is going on with these funding freezes? I assume they will be halted in a few days and Trump will declare himself the hero. But I just don't understand why they happened.

He’s trying to take the power of the purse away from congress. If he succeeds, nothing else matters.

This is Trump's America.  Approval aside before he came along the country had shifted to the good old days of most people either approving or at least not outright disapproving of an incoming President.  Then it shifted up to 10-20% range from the 80s on.  Now a third or more of the country is pissed from the jump....not even the black man in the brown suit could get this country that pissed off.

Stealing money from the taxpayers and installing himself as king.  Also create unrest and declare martial law, and install himself as king.  He said he was going to do this.

Last night he showed his trip around the Keys and up into the "Gulf of America."  I can't remember if I every subscribed but I'm checking now . . .

Edit to add: And those of us who have jobs, or want to keep some remnants of sanity, are trying not to stare at this crap all day.  Despite way too much time today online.

It has always been this way. California is basically keeping several other states a float but no Republican will ever know or admit this.

Some states are the Pirates and A’s. Just let these states die entirely on the vine. Let those bootstrappers show how tough they are or let Darwin win again. I am okay completely with the states like Louisiana and Kentucky just no longer existing.

Cool. I’m also ok with Sydney Sweeney making me her sex toy, and winning a massive powerball jackpot.

Do we want to keep making lists of things we wouldn’t mind that have less than zero chance of ever happening?

As far as I can tell we are all free to voice our opinion of the people we regretfully share a country with. My thoughts on these people used to be kinder until they doubled and tripled down on idiocy with their orange god king.

There will come a day that if this goes on long enough that states like California, and even Texas for that matter, will want to stop propping up the citizens in 3rd world states (Even if Texas does align with them on ideology you still reach a point where cutting them off sounds great).
