Trump says that gas averages $1.79 across the country. If you personally are not experiencing that then its because of Biden and the violence in Chicago that is raising gas prices in your town. and Jimmy Kimmel.

Yeah the cheapest I could find in SW Austin the last couple of days was $2.69 for Regular and $3.79 for Premium. $1.79 my ass. Average price right now is $3.16. The lies know no end.

ETA: I can't find where he said it's $1.79, but in May he said it was $1.98 when people were paying about $3.16 on average at the pump (same as now). So, what he was doing there is quoting a futures price of unfinished gasoline on the 'RBOB', not the pump price. At best, it's slimy and disingenuous. Really though, it's just a lie.

Quote

RBOB Gasoline futures did touch $1.98 per gallon on Thursday, the day before Trump’s post. The contract is currently trading at around $2 after hitting a low of about $1.96 during Monday’s trading session. The RBOB contract, however, does not reflect what drivers are currently paying at the pump. The contract tracks wholesale, unfinished gasoline before other costs are included such as mixing in ethanol to produce retail gas.

When asked by CNBC whether the president was referencing RBOB, Trump administration officials pointed to the contract’s recent price action.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said only analysts, wholesalers and fuel buyers at large store chains care about RBOB.

“That price is not inclusive of anything. It excludes taxes, it excludes [pipeline] tariffs, transportation, the cost of doing business, credit card fees — I mean all of it,” he said.

Exactly this.  Trump is quoting the RBOB, which is basically wholesale.  Torture the numbers and they will confess to anything. From the article:

But the cost for RBOB is considered to be a kind of wholesale price. It excludes state and federal taxes, as well as other manufacturing, distribution and marketing costs that go into determining the final fuel price that consumers see at gas stations.

Haha.  Too bad, suckers, I own a gas station and I change the pump to $0.00 when I put gas in my own car.   I screw the other guy and pass the savings on to me.

Trump has never bought and put gas in a car in his entire life.

Not trying to start any shit here, but we did make multiple visits for all of our children (nb we didn’t split out the m from the m from the r). We didn’t skip any, and we could afford to do it that way. Does it make a difference? I don’t know, but it made me and my wife feel better.

I don't think most doctors have a problem with that.

Yeah, and most pediatricians acknowledge that the recommended schedule is designed to get as close to 100% vaccination rate as possible and that is easier to achieve with multiple vaccinations per visit when looking at large populations. Whether individual harm creeps in is not in the calculus.

and again I don’t have data that show it does, it’s just what we did

That's the beauty of America. You have personal choice. I absolutely celebrate that and what is best for your family is just that. It has nothing to do with me or anyone else. It is personal choice. Beautiful.

We just need to fight for that, nothing less.

Saw a clip of Todd Blanche on Fox being asked about Trump's post to Bondi, ordering her to put his enemies in prison immediately. Blanche was like "Oh gosh no, that clearly wasn't pressure on us to indict Comey.... Golly, where would you get such an idea from? We're just trying to keep Americans safe...."

We pushed our son’s vaccine schedule out in agreement with our kids doc. There is a window to get some done and the rest can be adjusted. But - basically - don’t listen to the President and talk to your doctor. They gave an oath to do no harm…

Dumb question:  is it actually possible to split out M, M & R or did Trump just come up with that on his own?

I think it can. But it’s safely bundled and means less doctor visits, which saves money and also makes sure you get more vaccines in disadvantaged kids who can’t (or won’t) come back multiple times.

And when your personal choice puts others in danger? Do you not know how a functioning society works?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—they are going to rewrite Obama and Kamala out of the history books

They staged a riot on January 6 to frame patriotic Americans and cover-up a stolen election. Justice is coming ⚖️
