Eat shit, Lucinda. That may be all you can afford to eat going forward.

Middle finger reaction is directed at Lucinda and for you to get the cycle. I’ll make it up with some pos reps.

How does someone that stupid wind up with a $1.2MM farm?

They're both stupid, but that guy is different than the $1.2M farm dude who didn't do the research. I posted a reply to that farmer guy on TikTok (can't even remember what I said) and he blocked me like the bitch he is 🤣

Is not rare.

Wife was running a land project for a rich young couple out near dripping. Money came from a large sporting goods family. They did not know shit about raising chickens, etc. They believed the dust collecting on their skylights was due to contrails.

My niece is another. Her Husband got some large trust. They spent it on a 80 acres in rural Connecticut. House is dilapidated, etc, but it makes her Instagram story great. But there she is, raising ducks, growing food, etc. Bitches about being broke all the time and how people won't pay 15 bucks for a cucumber at the farmers market.

Yeah, she voted for Trump.

A $1.2m dollar farm is a glorified garden.

I grew up around rice farmers and can’t understand someone looking at those old men and saying “yeah, I want that to be me.”

It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but I’m not sure that this story is accurate. The price cap came from the IRA. Trump repealed a Biden executive order that had something to do with drug pricing but it was not the source of the $35 I slip cap, IIRC.

Quote

On the one hand, we see unprecedented efforts (that is, without the advice and consent of the Congress) by some entity called DOGE to slash government spending, and on the other we hear some of Trump’s cronies promise aid for farmers. The two cannot be squared.

None of those leopards posts are real.

I have no faith in Trump voters ever connecting their pain or misfortune with him or his policies.
He’ll blame Hillary, Biden, the deep state, China, libs, immigrants, Ukraine, RINO’s, the media, democrat mayors, McConnell, the courts, women, people living in Democrat controlled cities, congress, his VP, athletes, Taylor swift, and voter fraud and they’ll continue to eat it up.

You forgot Brown people.

Not seeing enough killing of really rich people yet. When do we get to that? I want whole neighborhoods of executives and CEOs just getting raped and burned on their front lawns. Come on America, speed it up. You're getting fucked, go do something about it.

Yep.  Imagine the easy messaging.

"Here's a list of all the things Republicans say are broken and the government of Texas needs to fix (list of a jillion things).  Republicans have held every statewide office in Texas for THIRTY FUCKING YEARS.  If there's something broken in Texas, it's because THEY broke it.  Why would you trust the people who broke Texas to fix it?  It's time for a change.  Texas deserves better.  Even Republicans think so."

Except Texas Republicans don't think so because they keep electing those assholes.

Today.  The key is 1) consistent messaging 2) repeated relentlessly.

Today's Republicans didn't turn into mindless zombie slaves overnight.  It took -- literally -- years of the exact same Fox News talking points being repeated for them to become gospel truth.  Find a simple message (it doesn't have to be accurate, it just has to trigger the lizard brain), and repeat it relentlessly, even when it's not relevant to the topic at hand.

"We agree, Texas is broken.  30 years of Republicans doing the wrong things broke it."  Repeat 100 million times.

I don't think it matters at this point, because none of the media outlets that the right pays attention to would broadcast this.

One of the guys in my office was all smiles the day after the election, grinning from ear to fucking ear.  His 2 year federal probationary period ends in a couple of weeks.  I'm not sure how this is going to turn out, but I can't say that I'm not enjoying him sweating it out.
