Then get your ass out to a protest, dumbfuck. 5 protests per year minimum through 2028. Post them on social media. We demand receipts.

That one, to me unfortunately, is less leopard and more we continue to fuck ourselves.  It was only the Euro oil and gas companies that was even semi interested in investing in renewable prior to this.

From me to my wife who had a meeting with our county GOP chairman. She refused to show him my texts because this particular meeting was in her professional capacity as a state employee.

Backstory - this guy used to have a portrait of Obama on his desk.

In 2013 we sit down to dinner with our wives and he tells me his plan to go into politics as a Republican.

I ask for his views on an assortment of subjects - all of which sit squarely in the democratic platform. I tell him, bluntly, that he sounds like a black democrat who realizes he can't get anywhere in Texas politics without changing teams.

He disagrees, saying how disillusioned he is with the Dems and that their policies are perpetuating the black underclass. Keep in mind this was well before MAGA was mainstream.

Fast forward 12 years and he is the GOP county chair and on the school board.

I mean hey, mission accomplished. He acquired political power.

Sadly, his wife passed from cancer, leaving him as single dad to 3 young children.

I've got blood family in elected local judicial posts so I choose my fights, but lately I’ve gotten a lot louder.

That one, to me unfortunately, is less leopard and more we continue to fuck ourselves.  It was only the Euro oil and gas companies that was even semi interested in investing in renewable prior to this.

I wonder how much of it is retaliation? The FSI part of BAE systems is my biggest customer but they gotta be loving the bump in military spending.

In this current period of pay for play, that could be very likely.

Imagine thinking you could vote for Trump and not get fucked over.

Y'all still believe in Santa Claus, too?

Trump u, brah.

I keep going back to overhearing my family at Thanksgiving talking about how the economy was going to 'turn back on around June'. Seems like that hasn't exactly panned out. Who could have guessed?

Imagine thinking you could vote for Trump and not get fucked over.

It’s pretty obvious that santa claus is a metaphor for god to groom children into believing the unbelievable.

Lives way up north. Always watching. Always judging. If you’re good, you get rewarded. If you’re bad, you get coal so that you can burn it. There’s a list. Has a bunch of indentured servants. You’re supposed to leave an offering for him. He is the sole judge of your worthiness. If you’re lucky, you might see him. Also helps if you have schizophrenia.

Wrong. Santa is locked, loaded and pissed. Criminal libs looking to destroy christmas beware. You’re on notice.

The war on christmas is on.

Vengeful, Old Testament style god metaphor.  But somehow still Christian.

The very last word in this news article is so salient. The factory was doing well. The worker voted for Trump. Why?  "Change." Well, I guess he got change, being that the nail factory WAS doing well and is now laying off 60 people.

Every one of you should watch this.

Quit whining, asshole, you wanted change -  and you got change!

But at least you and your employees had a lot of fun sharing Facebook posts about illegals going to Alligator Alcatraz.   That, and thoughts and prayers, should be enough to make it through the coming stagflation.

All these reports of Las Vegas being empty are great. Nevada, you wanted this. You voted for the cunt and his policies. That combined with your own arrogance over thinking people will always pay up to come to Vegas put you in this position. Maybe overbuilding and overleveraging yourselves was a bad idea. I'll spend my vacation dollars in blue states like California, Colorado, and Washington.

Absolutely.  I’m sitting in my travel trailer in Angel Fire, NM.  Drove over to Taos yesterday and they finished the 3 year roadwork on the pass and they still proudly have the sign up saying it was due to the “Biden Infrastructure Bill” and I love it.  I’ll happily spend my vacation money here.

I vacationed in maine a couple weeks ago and drove past two no kings protests with about 50 people each in small coastal towns. One was in Wells on a monday and the other in Damriscotta on a friday.

Interestingly enough, there are many US flags and banners in those maine coastal towns. However, I didn’t get the maga vibe with them. It felt more nautical because ships at sea fly the flag of the country that they’re registered. It was very nice seeing the american flag all over and not getting the maga fake patriotism vibe.

I also met a couple of people visiting from scotland at portland head light. We were both shockingly lucky to get parking spots right by the lighthouse. Right time right place kinda thing. Everyone else was parking several hundred yards away. We both looked at each other and laughed like we found some cheat code and started chatting with each other. I thanked them for coming to the US on vacation. I try to be a bit of an ambassador when I meet people on vacation here from other countries.

One of the shops in Damriscotta doesn’t shy away from the dangers we face.

The store was packed with shoppers. I chatted with the owners briefly. They would fit in here.

I picked this up at their shop. It’s the size of a pack of cards. I like maine.

according to Sen Tuberville, you should be careful who you hang out with, who you are, and where you are. And if you're doing anything potentially suspicious, make sure you have your paperwork. And hope that the fed care about due process. That day.

Some in the libertarian frame of mind do not understand that border patrol has long had the right to stop you based on reasonable suspicion that just can't be a hunch. You might win out in court if they don't have reasonable suspicion but there isn't a judge out there to protect you in the moment. If they pulled me over, I would just give my drivers license or whatever they ask for. It sucks but it gets you moving in the right direction ASAP.

Not sure if this truly applies to this thread, but close enough:

May be an image of money and text that says 'BorninPoverty 1d 1d No it's worse than that. My brother in law thought that if a Chinese item cost $100 and there was a 30% tariff say, China would pay 30 and he would only ay $70. So, he thought everything imported would cost less. 60'

I wouldn't, because that would get them moving in the "right" directly ASAP.  I might pretend to not understand English.

Europeans have told us to kick rocks. They are definitely spending their money elsewhere. This is going to destroy so many businesses, supply chains and all of the stuff affiliated with it. A society does not collapse all at once, but ours is getting a big jolt of "we're screwed" right now.

Thats nothing. Just wait until tariffs plunge us into a global depression. We’ve been white knuckling and markets have been trading on vibes. The fundamentals are fucked worse than US manufacturing companies

Fully one third of the market is AI and AI vibe trades. It's wild. The music is gonna stop at some point, and then that economic calamity will be the impetus for the fascist crackdown.

Like it's been speculated around here, trump the innovator is DIY'ing his economic collapse that most fascist movements pivot upon
