Crappy day for pictures, but enjoyed watching the cows play in the new pasture.

I hope that somebody was able to archive the other thread. There were so many beautiful pictures there and all were interesting. I would hate to see all of that lost. This thread had a lot of very talented contributors.

Has HE migrated over? I'm a big fan of his work.

Great shots y'all.  No doubt the old thread was great, but we can make this one better.  I am going to keep mixing in some old photos that I may have posted on the old board.

I have always liked this photo, but it certainly doesn't "pop" like some of yours.

Nah, man.  That's a good looking pic, looks typical NE Village during winter.

I went to a conference in Kansas City this week. The downtown area is pretty pulp fiction-y or film noir.

Was actually Stavanger, Norway at about 8:30 in the morning one November.  I thought the lit up shop looked like a warm refuge on a cold morning.

Bigass moth I just caught in my abode. He's fine. I set him free after he posed for a few shots.

What is this place?  Looks amazing.

It’s the old cistern near downtown houston. Built in 1927 and mostly forgotten. They have made it into an art/event space. I snuck in while they were working on the above ground facilities. 25 feet tall and 87,500 square feet.

Not Ansel Adams worthy, but out walking last night after the front passed and saw this, snapped a quickie phone photo:
