April 10, 20187 yr Author I like the reflection, but not the shallow depth of field. I wish I had framed the reflection in this shot.

April 21, 20187 yr Took this one in Wyoming a couple of weeks ago. I'm not very good at this, but I'm trying!
April 21, 20187 yr Cool. It's like one of those infra=red photos (which I don't really like), but real, which I like.
April 24, 20187 yr Author Awesome Doug. I need to get out and do some more nature photography. So for those that use Flickr, how do y'all feel about SmugMug acquiring them? I think their terms of use will take over in late May. I guess I will find out then if I want to stay or go. Go where, not sure. I really liked Flickr. A few shots...
April 24, 20187 yr I have a Flickr account but never used it. I used to use Printroom many years ago. They didn't charge you for photo space to sell prints. They just took their cut in the print sales. I never sell enough prints to justify a monthly fee.
May 7, 20187 yr Author Been shooting a ton. I will try not to flood the thread and break it up into different posts.
May 14, 20187 yr Love that little mushroom, PatrickSwayze. I got a new camera, a Canon 5d Mark IV, and a 50mm F 1.2 Canon lens. Last night walked around Austin's east side for about an hour and tested its low-light capabilities. I am pretty pleased. All of these were taken with available light, handheld. May 14, 20187 yr Good stuff. I prefer the color version of the last pic. I think the warmish tone of the street light and the shadowy red color framing scene adds something to the feel. Edited May 14, 20187 yr by DougO
May 14, 20187 yr Saltillo is where Captain Call got bit by bedbugs worse than the Kioway mare bit him.
May 17, 20187 yr I guess today's theme was beauty and the beasts. My neighbor has the freakiest donkey ever. Edited May 17, 20187 yr by DougO

May 21, 20187 yr Author Trip ends tomorrow and I can’t sleep. Looking forward to editing when I get home. Here is a quick iPhone shot.
May 23, 20187 yr Author I am still sorting through photos, but I think I have edited most of the ones I think are keepers. The trip was amazing and really the only thing we didn’t get to do from my original plan was the north rim of the Grand Canyon at sunrise…just couldn’t fit it in. What made the trip even more special was that it was with my Pops. Some of the shots have been done a billion times, but still special to me because it was with him. Not going to post all my shots and bog down the thread, but here are some of my favorites:Ship Rock at sunriseCollared Lizard in Valley de ChellyThe Narrows (Zion National Park)Monument ValleySecret Canyon (Similar to the phone shot I posted)Horseshoe BendSpider Rock, Valley de ChellyManaged to squeeze in a shoot with one of the best graffiti writers
