That was at an overlook and there was a rock wall there with a nice flat top that I just set the camera on. I actually took a photo with my phone of that.
August 11Aug 11 Popular Post Sis in-law took this shot of the moon above the clouds over that South China Sea. She’ a pilot who flys freight from the U.S. to China.
August 17Aug 17 I have some more from the NYC trip from a little over a week ago. 1. Jersey City from the 81st floor of World Trade Center building; as are the next three. 2. Brooklyn Bridge 3. The footprint of one of the former towers 4. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island 5. Central Park from the 24th floor terrace at the New York Athletic Club 6. My view of town as I head back to New Jersey on the ferry to Weehawken. That crazy looking building is actually a movie theater, among other things. It's at about 58th Street, or 57th.
September 3Sep 3 From Sunday night at our friend’s farm, the annual Pond Party. The reflection on the last one is really cool. Edited September 3Sep 3 by PittsburghTiger
September 18Sep 18 Went to Fallingwater today. Have some Germans in town and it was a perfect day to do something leisurely. Then we went down a few miles to Ohiopyle, where the whitewater starts, to have a picnic along the Yough. George Washington, in the 1750s, traversed the Youghiogheny River on a wooden raft but, he bailed (pussy 😂) before he got to the falls shown in picture #3. EDIT: they are in the midst of a two-year renovation/preservation project. Edited September 18Sep 18 by PittsburghTiger
September 18Sep 18 Difficult to believe that iconic & historic masterpiece of FLW was allowed to deteriorate (as noted by a documentary just a few years ago).

A lot of historical places deteriorated. Really cool places that could be bought pretty cheap at one time or another, except that it would cost over a million to renovate.

I’m not sure “it has been allowed” because every time I have been there it is getting some work done I’ll have to research what you said Edited September 18Sep 18 by PittsburghTiger
September 21Sep 21 A few of the girl child in some of her recent matches. Indoor lighting varies so much in these gyms. Edited September 21Sep 21 by Francisco 2.0

September 29Sep 29 Gratuitous Harvey pic on a bench beside Central Park. Harvey enjoying the flowers on Park Avenue. The morning on Friday at Bethpage Black. Before all the ugliness. This photo was shot with my phone, is unedited, and looks surreal. Edited September 29Sep 29 by PenelopeWitherspoon
October 8Oct 8 Just a quikie from an upstairs window about half an hour ago and a quick edit. Forgive the little smudge on my lens at the lower edge from my greasyass fingers.
October 8Oct 8 If it looks a little gray/ hazy, it's because is in a cold as fuck rainstorm. Edited October 8Oct 8 by LTbear
October 11Oct 11 Helped take a dock out of the river this morning. The water was surprisingly not too bad. It was 50 degrees outside so the water was a bit warmer than the air.
October 13Oct 13 Popular Post Can't remember if I posted this over the summer. Spent much of May looking for an old coyote's den, then several weeks hidden and waiting for the pups to emerge. One day this momma griz hopped over a ledge at twenty feet away. No bueno. She spent a minute pacing and popping her jaws while I backed away. Luckily she was relatively chill and I snapped this pic once I'd backed up to a hundred yards or so.

The question would have been, “Does PittsburghTiger shit in the woods?”, if i was that close to a mother bear.

I don't know how you held the camera still to get this photo at 100 yards after being at 20 feet.

October 26Oct 26 Sunrise over Pittsburgh. Made an early run to drop off a buddy at the airport. Top down, of course, 34 degrees.

October 26Oct 26 Marys Peak, Oregon. I looked uphill at my wife and thought that this made a nice enough shot on my phone.
October 26Oct 26 I got to go up to Colorado to do another round of college visits for my younger one and to visit the older one. I absolutely love the drive up there once you get out of Texas. I was blessed with an amazing sunset and this incredible thunderstorm between Ft. Sumner and Santa Rosa. Pics don't even come close to reality: Equinox Brewing in Ft. Collins is one of my happy places. The leaves sure do weird things up there: Gratuitous mountain pics. Sorry, they always look good on my phone but turn out to be way overprocessed otherwise. Short hike to a pretty amazing waterfall: Dear God, the weather was beautiful. Amazing to wake up to this but go out by the river, sit in the morning sun, and feel perfectly comfortable at 27deg: Pics of marginal trout are in the fishing thread, but including this little guy who was very displeased that I was taking up his spot. He proceeded to dip in the water and scare everything out of the hole (explaining my lack of trophy fish pics).
