November 14, 20241 yr Who remembers Jaw's girlfriend in Moonraker having braces? Thousands of fans do, even though the producer/script and the actress say she didn't wear any, plus there is no visual evidence. Original shot from the 35mm print Digitally altered
November 14, 20241 yr Nah... she absolutely 100% had braces in original release. Every single movie review done for the films release that mentions her also mentions the braces. Friends always talked about "braces girl".
November 14, 20241 yr Interesting. Here's a review talking about her braces. I don't remember either way but people sure are convinced. https://www.newspapers.com/article/jg-tc-journal-gazette-and-times-courier/23613459/

November 14, 20241 yr Next you're going to tell me that Sinbad didn't star as the genie in Shazaam in the mid-1990s.

November 14, 20241 yr Here's the thing. Our brains constantly play tricks on us. I'm sure that everyone does remember her having braces... because for whatever reason that's what their brains were feeding them. Some combination of the shit in Jaws' mouth, combined with her looking like a young girl who would have braces. Who knows. When I was a kid I had a business card that, and this is gonna sound weird, a guy in a gas station in New Mexico gave to my dad on a trip (gas station dude was apparently so taken by this that he had a bunch made to hand out). The idea was to count the vowels on the card. So you counted, and got 12 or whatever. Nope. The actual answer was something like 22. And everyone would say "No I just counted. It's 12." But when they would count again with the number 22 in their heads.... they would get 22. It was a real mind fuck, that has nothing to do with this topic other than that our brains process information pretty weirdly.
November 15, 20241 yr The one I will die on is Meadow walking in the door of the diner in the final scene of The Sopranos. Apparently it didn't happen, but me and a shitload of other people remember it happening.

I think you see her coming into Holsten's from the outside, but then (interior shot) you see the door, the bell rings (Tony's POV) blackout. Tony dies. Edited November 16, 20241 yr by dcbc
November 16, 20241 yr I intentionally forgot everything about Moonraker. You could have told me that girl was black, and I would've believed you.
November 17, 20241 yr This is like the Berenstain Bears isn’t it?Dr Holly Goodhead was a great Bond girl. That’s all I’ve got.
November 17, 20241 yr Mandela? Is that the one where people remembered being at his funeral but he was still alive?

No, they remember him dying in prison in the 80's, which never happened. 2 hours ago, bernorange said: Han shot first. Not the Mandela Effect because it actually happened and we have evidence.

November 18, 20241 yr Y'all don't know what you're talking about. It's clearly called the "Howie Mandel effect."

That's an odd name for this effect which seems to be about people being mistaken about a minor detail (Mirror mirror on the wall). That would have precluded his tenure as President of South Africa, which is why he is famous.
November 18, 20241 yr Some of us had to do amnesty international to pad our resume or impress a girl.

He is famous for being a radical anti-apartheid activist/leader who was imprisoned for almost 30 years.

November 18, 20241 yr My only personal experience with this is that I have a memory of John Larroquette dying. Like I remember reading about it at my desk at work. Only problem is that he isn't dead. Not sure if it was a dream or what, but I was pretty confused a few years ago when he had some new project come out. "Was this made before he died? Wait what do you mean he's not dead?"
