I am creating this thread so I can check in from time to time as the casual fan that I am. Good luck to all the lesser clubs this season.

Apparently we beat some team named Arsenal in the first league match of the season. Only 97 points away from last season's total now.

This really sucks. WHY CAN'T ANYTHING GOOD EVER HAPPEN FOR CITY?!?!?

But seriously, that means he's out for the first 4 matches of the group stage.

City will look unstoppable until they play somebody...very easy opening schedule until liverpool

Claudio Bravo has sustained a potentially season ending injury in training. Looks like ACL snapped so he’s done.

Grimshaw in the league cup and FA cup and just focus on the league and CL I guess.

I didn't get to watch the game out but it sounds like a combination of shitty passing and not taking our chances. Maybe some shenanigans on the Wolves goal? I dunno. Pick it up next week.

Manchester City

Shakhtar Donetsk

Lyon

 Hoffenheim

Should definitely qualify at the very least. I'd like to see KDB back before too long in the group stage, that's for sure.

Since we last posted here City somehow lost the league but has come back from the dead and are now in a heck of a title race with the Liverpudlians. Which, it must be said, is a way cooler demonym than Merseysiders or Scousers.

Also, from the thrashing of Chelsea this was the coolest stat I saw:

Manchester City is the first English top-flight team to score more than one goal in 15 consecutive home league matches since Tottenham Hotspur in December 1965.

I'll be back in a few months, probably, to check on things.

You are the only annoying Liverpool fan I know. I think I will keep posting on other threads just to even things out.
