November 24, 20241 yr If we can run the ball successfully 15 times when the defense knows it is coming...does that mean we can run the ball successfully earlier in the game when they don't?
November 24, 20241 yr It would sure be cool if Quinn Ewers could have a good game again at some point.

They were before but not with a success rate like that before that drive. Their defense got gassed for that drive to happen and our oline drug their balls over their face.

It happened with a few minutes left in the first half. So he played the whole second half gimped up. To your question, we wonder why as well.

Yeah you might want to re-watch on the television. He got hurt at the end of the first half and quite clearly was in pain and not able to play the position well in the second half. As to why the coach didn't send in the backup with a clearly injured and less effective starter? That remains a mystery.

November 24, 20241 yr Two weeks in a row the OL took over the 4th quarter, how does A&M DL stack up to Uk and Arky in the run game? If Texas OL can do the same next week I’m feeling pretty good about it.

November 24, 20241 yr Sark is a fucking moron with the running game. Especially in the 2nd half. we were destroying them with the run and what does sark do? Pass with a hobbled ewers who fumbles a TD

November 24, 20241 yr I’m still fucking pissed at the criminal coaching decision to keep trotting out an injured and ineffective player at QB and making the game closer than it needed to be. At no other position would you even consider playing an injured player with a capable backup. Sark is so fucking frustrating sometimes.

Jesus Christ man, how bad are your tickets? His leg got rolled up on a tackle a few minutes before half when it was 24-7. He toughed it out for a few minutes but was limping badly. Major problem was once the ball was snapped he wasn't moving. He was getting shaky, not setting his base, and making poor mechanics throws. The defense also just started rushing to a spot because he wasn't mobile enough to move the pocket or escape it. It was one of the worst coaching decisions I've seen. That very well could have thrown the game away. The defensive TD Kentucky got was completely because of that. If he's that scared of a QB controversy that he'll sacrifice the season just to have to not face one then that does not portend well to having top rated young QBs like Arch and Dia Bell on the roster. Ewers was clearly not able or willing to tough out that game and still perform. Edited November 24, 20241 yr by Hermanator

Sark is a great coach and has been fantastic for us, but even great coaches still have things they need to improve. We're 10-1 and in position for a top 2 seed in the playoffs. No reason to be pissed, but he has to be able to read the game better than that.

Did anyone in the post game ask him why he kept Quinn in the game?
November 24, 20241 yr 9 minutes ago, David Dennison said: Did anyone in the post game ask him why he kept Quinn in the game? He played it off saying Quinn's leg was just a little tight. Which means he's saying Quinn was being a pussy. That he should have been able to play through that even though he clearly played like he was injured.

RUN THE DAMN BALL They cannot stop the run or the screens and swings. They can’t stop TE to the flats or over the middle. Oh and they can’t stop deep balls without interference.

November 24, 20241 yr Popular Post I just got home from the game after some after partying. What a great week-end. Texas wins, aggy loses and we will beat their asses next weekend.

My take is I remember a certain coach back in 2009 that decided to not really give the backup QB a lot of real game time - he completed 30 of 66 attempts on the year. Then one of our greatest QBs went down in the title game. The Backup tried, and even brought us to within 3 points - but 4 ints and a lost fumble later we lost. Maybe that wasn't the best time to have to rely on a freshman with mostly mop-up duty when he could've had much more playing time in any of the games we ran away with. https://fbschedules.com/2009-texas-football-schedule/ I don't get it.

Which makes sense if he was performing like Dart after he got his leg rolled up on in the 1st quarter against Georgia and was limping around. But he wasn't. He was barely moving around in the pocket and missing easy throws. He wouldn't have been able to throw us to a win if the defense and running game didn't take over and crush Kentucky in the 4th quarter. Maybe Sark felt like Kentucky had no shot of beating us even without Quinn doing anything, but that's arrogant as hell. Once he fumbled and it was returned for a TD late in the 3rd it was a 10 pt game.
November 24, 20241 yr I guess we will never know because the pussy media doesn’t ask the fucking question everyone wanted asked. Only reasonable explanation I can come up with is they were told not to ask about Quinn or arch. Because I don’t see in this day and age a reporter not wanting to ask the “stir the pot” question.

Isn’t that crazy? Kurt Bohls will ask the shittiest questions to play gotcha, but won’t ask a question that Sarkisian may not like but everyone wants to know. I think it could be as simple as knowing Quinn isn’t 100% and not wanting to risk Arch getting dinged and having 2 QBs in that game with an injury. But who knows since no one asked.

Our special teams have been good under Banks. Coverages have been pretty good consistently. Our returners seem to make questionable decisions much of the time, especially Bolden. Do you really lay Auburn's regression and punter injuries at the feet of the ST coach? I guess you have to, but sometimes shit happens.
