Deathly hungover on a 7AM flight out of Austin on 2 hours of sleep and every time I start feeling bad for myself I look at several Aggies on this flight and remember it could be SO much worse.

The moment aggy realized who they were playing.  The University of Texas at Austin.

All that buildup about how loud the aggy 12th man would be and it was a popcorn fart. Sark said in the post game with Way that he thought Kyle Field would be louder and it never made a difference to the team.

The dumbest narrative in college football is how intimidating Kyle Field is to opposing teams. Intimidating stadiums don’t have to add PA systems on the opponent’s sideline. If it wasn’t for their annual FCS and bottom tier home cupcake schedule, aggy would have a home losing record in their vaunted terrordome.

Kyle field is a joke. Shit stadium filled with shit fans.

Sooooooooooooo, no milkmen in the fountain after the game last night?

Catching up this morning on the thread.

A few observations:

Surly punctuation goes to shit with combination of night game and victory/loss.

Mike Elko had some good responses in his post game presser and seems like an intelligent guy.  It will be interesting to watch his decline as the aggy entropy cycle wears him down in the next few years to where his responses become an unintelligible cross between Jimbo and Ed O.

Q.E. needs to get his head on straight.  That game felt like Texas was just slowly doing the boa constrictor to aggy untill it wasn't. He was also fortunate on a few plays in the first half as well.

We should toss that stupid trophy in the trash and tell them we lost it.  Getting a trophy for beating aggy is like getting a cookie for wiping your ass.

Well, we never used to play for a trophy. IIRC, they didn’t introduce that thing until like 2007 sometime around there.

What is the Mo Bamba stuff people keep talking about?

The hottest rap song of 2018, made by a guy Bamba grew up with in NYC. Penn St had a viral moment with their crowd going wild to it during a big game a few years back, so the ags are dying to force one of their own into existence. Comes off even lamer knowing Bamba is a Longhorn.

Not sure about bowl match-ups, but would love to see Tech vs aggy in the Texas Bowl. Tahj Brooks would gut their shitty run defense.

Losing to Tech would send them over the edge.

They need a new bowl. Something like the active speciation bowl where they play Rice.

3rd and goal, everything on the line, and Bill Norton drove his man backwards 2 yards into the running back. One of my favorite plays of the year.

The only thing I'm disappointed with was leaving points off the board with the TO's down deep in the RZ.  At the end of the day, the points didn't matter.  TEXAS got the win and aggy got the foot in the ass, then the door.

From NY Times
It’s no secret Texas A&M staunchly opposed allowing its hated nemesis to join the SEC, and now we see why. It took Texas one season to reach the conference championship game, where it gets a rematch with No. 7 Georgia Whereas A&M, which joined the league in 2012 and has been selling that cachet in recruiting ever since, is yet to make its first trip to Atlanta.

We maybe have been at the very top of the end zone with 3000 other Texas fans but it was so much fun.

Aggies tears right in front of me

Singing the eyes to a mostly empty Kyle field

Pictures with the dead dog scoreboard post game

Listening to Aggie call in radio on the drive back to Austin…priceless

The best ever was some radio guy telling a Cleveland Browns QB how intimidating it is.  The QB said, "no, it's not that bad."

That was the game I went to at Kyle. I do remember thinking about how quiet the place was but I thought it was just because they had no shot and they knew it the whole game. The fans were extremely nice. They would come up to me before and after the game and want to talk. The ones around my seat wanted to talk. The whole atmosphere was pretty much the opposite of intimidating.

I think Banks wasn't hurt that bad, they just didn't need him with the way Goosby was playing. He was putting a hurting on some Aggies; it was like Banks never left.

The replay showed Banks getting leg-whipped by the aggy defender that spun off Ewers just before he took off on the 20+ yard run for a first down.  Hope it's not too bad.

That he was able to walk off the field on his own, and they had him in a walking boot means probably a sprain of some sort. Hopefully not a high ankle sprain since that would rob a bunch of his power and take more than a week to recover from

Anybody that went to the game post on TexAgs about their experience last night yet???

The Pyle Cuckhouse Stadium IS A TERRORDOME…. Not for opposing teams of course, but aggy fans.

It was beautiful watching our defense just whip the other side with ease. That's a championship level defense that PK has built...and that's with Sweat and Murphy gone. Guys stepping up like Broughton and Burke. The 4th down stop felt like Stoney Clark in the Cotton Bowl. Just need the offense to not make mistakes. That's what did us in against Georgia. Sark has to beat the soft low passes out of Quinn's head. Or run the ball when the field gets tight. Or get Arch in there so you're committed to running the ball with a guy better built to take the punishment.

Weren't they playing music all the way to the snap when we had the ball? I seem to remember Sark going off about it during the game. They are such a chickenshit program.

This is why they had to fire the head of their journalism department.

It was thru the snap. But it was "so loud" noone could hear it.

Well, I noobed this reply but was thinking the same thing . The 4th down goal line stand was fantastic, the first one on their initial drive in the RZ was also crucial.

Yep, Sark wanted the officials to enforce the rules to get aggy to stop the music during UT offensive series.

Anyone know what is up with Bond? Saw Sark talking to him in huddle a few times and sort of seems like he's on the fringe of the "circle of trust" at WR. Wasn't on the same page with Ewers a couple times last night.

The ref stuff is unreal, both our td’s had to be corrected by replay, they also tried to kick out one of our best defenders with a bullshit targeting penalty and replay had to save us again. Their db Lee was getting away with personal fouls. We got no favors.
